The Marketing Assistant will enable business execution through support in brand management, budget tracking, marketing strategies, and organizational tasks in food product marketing.

Overview:
The Marketing Assistant reports to the Sr. Director, Brand Manager or VP Brand Management and is the key enabler for business execution. This individual will assist with improving efficiencies of the process within the retail team and will help in different areas within brand management, including but not limited to, product line management with current items and innovation, trade shows, budget management, and creative for current and new campaigns.
Responsibilities:
  • Supports with budget management and resource efficiency to maximize ROI:
    • Tracking budget versus AOP to ensure that assigned brands are meeting goals.
    • Monthly reporting to managers on budget tracking.
    • Invoice submissions and follow-ups to ensure proper record keeping.
    • Financial tracking and monthly accruals.
    • End of year closing support by reconciling invoices and submitting to Accounts Payable and vendors.
  • Supports execution of creative and innovative marketing strategies and promotional campaigns to meet customer needs:
    • Partner with Brand team to create mock-ups of artwork and submit through portal for completion
    • Supports influencer programs by ordering samples, swag, post reach.
    • Orders and tracks inventory of swag/promotional items.
    • Updates and creates content for ecommerce sites.
  • Orders samples to provide to customers and sales teams for ongoing business/requests.
  • Responsible for tracking and submitting requests for VIPs/coupons to support brand recognition through third party agencies and specific customers.
  • Oversight of Master Data process and documents, including, but not limited to UPC submissions, new product information, distribution or pricing lists.
  • Provides trade show support with designing and ordering materials, samples, recipe cards, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, sales, communications, or business preferred.
  • 1-2 years sales and/or marketing support experience.
  • Excellent communication and organization skills with a strong bias to action.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office; technically savvy

Working Conditions/Environment:
Works in a normal office environment where the employee is regularly required to speak, see, hear, sit, stand, talk, type, walk and bend while moving about the facility. The noise level in the office is quiet. Occasional travel to plants or meetings is required.
