Join HarperOne Group as a Marketing Assistant to support marketing activities, enhance communication, and manage various administrative tasks within a passionate book publishing environment.

Overview:
The HarperOne Group seeks a Marketing Assistant for HarperVia, HarperCollins Español, and Amistad. In this role, you will assist the VP, Deputy Publisher with a variety of marketing activities including updating presentations, tracking expenses, helping monitor seasonal deadlines, ordering materials, light research, and processing invoices. The role requires someone skilled in managing deadlines, maintaining spreadsheets, scheduling meetings, and taking clear meticulous notes.

This position is based out of our New York office.
Responsibilities:
  • Schedules and coordinates meetings, video conferences, and conference calls.
  • Prepares and distributes materials for meetings.
  • Takes notes in select meetings, and distributes accordingly.
  • Processes invoices and monthly expense reports.
  • As needed, writes or identifies copy for a variety of marketing needs.
  • Enters data for seasonal marketing campaigns.
  • Prepares materials for seasonal meetings and sales communications and collateral.
  • Orders galleys and books for mailings and occasional office supplies.
  • Executes mailings as needed.
  • Provides general support to marketing projects as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Four-year college degree or equivalent work experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent writing, communication skills, and attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively, collaboratively, and with all levels of management
  • Ability to be flexible, reliable, and efficient
  • A motivated self-starter with a love for books
  • Strong knowledge of social media and web technologies (e.g. Facebook, Shortstack, Email deployment, Snapchat, Instagram)
  • Native or bilingual proficiency in Spanish a plus
  • Prior internship experience in publishing and/or marketing a plus

The salary for this position is $50,000. We recognize that attracting the best talent is key to our strategy and success as a company.
