Marketing Coordinator
LOCATION
In-office position, Monday through Thursday with work-from-home opportunity on Fridays.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or related field; 3-5 years of experience in marketing or digital marketing; strong writing and editing skills; proficiency in WordPress and email systems; familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, Google Analytics, SEO/SEM, and HTML/CSS preferred.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinate content for World Challenge's online channels, manage social media interaction, assist in project coordination, oversee email campaigns, manage website updates, and support content creation efforts.

SHORT DESCRIPTION
The Marketing Coordinator will play a crucial role in enhancing World Challenge's online presence through content coordination, project management, and effective communication across various platforms.
World Challenge, Inc. was founded by Reverend David Wilkerson in 1971 and served as a corporate umbrella for his worldwide crusades, ministers' conferences, book and tract publication, video production, street evangelism, literature distribution, church planting, drug and alcohol rehabilitation centers and many charitable outreaches. Today, World Challenge Inc. shares the message of the gospel through mission outreaches and literature distribution. Sermons from David Wilkerson and his son Gary are shared monthly through the Pulpit Series newsletter to hundreds of thousands of people. The numerous mission outreaches of World Challenge to the poor include orphanages, overseas widows’ fund, emergency/disaster relief, healthcare/clinics, community development and feeding centers. Gary Wilkerson became president of World Challenge in 2010 and moves forward with the same heart and vision as his father.
Note: This is not a remote position. It requires regular in-office attendance, Monday through Thursday, with the opportunity to work from home on Fridays.
Job purpose
The Marketing Coordinator is an integral part of the Marketing Communications team, and will help coordinate project communications and content posting to World Challenges various channels. They will help to grow the online channels of World Challenge by regularly posting and delivering content as well as helping to administrate on various projects.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay Range
- Between $28 & $30 dollars per hour based on qualifications and experience. This is a non-exempt, hourly based position. A typical work week is 37.5 hours with a 30 minute daily lunch break.
- Sign-on Bonus - $2,000
- $1,000 paid at the end of 30-days of employment
- $1,000 paid at the end of 6-months employment

Duties and Responsibilities
- Content Coordination
- Post and schedule content to World Challenge online channels including website, social media and mobile app.
- Includes adding SEO to website and maintaining social media best practices.
- Reply and respond to World Challenge social media subscribers daily.
- Update website, social media, and mobile app to match changes to World Challenge initiatives.
- Manage Shopify store which includes adding and updating items throughout the store.
- Keep the customer journey up-to-date to match with marketing best practices.
- Communicate and manage translation team, verifying translations for latest content being produced, and assist in finding new translators.
- Proof content to be posted as needed.
- Give regular feedback on what responses and interactions are across various platforms.
- Content Creation Support
- Generate short links for sermons, podcasts, campaigns, etc.
- Create the AI audio intros for sermons.
- Assist with creating social media posts.
- Source content from World Challenge’s digital asset manager.
- Work with templated graphics.
- Select images for the website.
- Project Coordination
- Assist with administrative project tasks in Asana and MediaValet—importing projects from templates, updating project statuses, creating project specific categories in MediaValet, etc.
- Work with vendors to keep inventories supplied (books, envelopes, resources, etc.), request quotes, and ensure projects are on schedule.
- Review, edit and share AI-generated meeting notes after project, team and department meetings.
- Email List Coordination
- Scheduling content to various World Challenge subscriber lists.
- Make sure that email deliverability is within current standards.
- Speak into new campaigns and content creation.
- Stay current on industry standards and best practices that informs testing and market research.
- Setup drip campaigns to donor, subscribers.
- Other Responsibilities as Directed by Supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Agreement and alignment with World Challenge’s Statement of Faith
- Understands and embraces a biblical worldview
- Bachelor’s degree with 3-5 years’ experience in marketing, communications, digital marketing or a related field
- Excellent writing and editing skills; strong grasp of the English language in written and verbal form
- Able to juggle multiple projects at once and consistently meet deadlines.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills to work well with others
- Proficient in WordPress or other Content Management Systems
- Proficient and/or experience using Mailchimp or other email systems
- Familiarity in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and email design tools
- Familiarity in Google Analytics, SEO/SEM and UI/UX best practices, and HTML, and CSS preferred

Working conditions
This position works in an office setting with regular business hours Monday – Friday. On occasion, the employee may be required to work evenings or weekends to collaborate with staffs that are deployed internationally. Travel up to 15% of the year may be required.
Physical requirements
This role may require lifting up to 20-30 pounds and is performed in a climate-controlled office environment.
