Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, business, journalism, or related field with 1-3 years of professional digital marketing experience or equivalent. Proficient with email marketing software and Adobe Creative Cloud; excellent written and verbal communication skills.

SHORT DESCRIPTION
The Marketing Coordinator supports Cocoon House's Community Engagement team by managing social media and digital content to empower youth and families in breaking the cycle of homelessness.
At Cocoon House we empower young people, families, and communities in Snohomish County to break the cycle of homelessness through outreach, housing, and prevention. The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for supporting the overarching strategy and campaigns of the Community Engagement team through their work in social media, design, short-form writing, and events. This position must operate with a high level of initiative and attention to detail in order to produce accurate and quality content for clients, donors, events, and the overall community within established project timelines. This position will require some flexibility and a successful candidate will be one who enjoys managing a variety of projects and tasks on a regular basis. Marketing Coordinator Duties & Responsibilities
Full-Time| On-site in Everett
Starting Wages: $56,000 - $58,000 DOE | +$1.50/hr pay differential for multi-lingual skills
Online Media
- Manage social media accounts’ posting schedule
- Create and post content for social media accounts and website including writing captions, short videos, photos, and graphics
- Monitor daily activity and engagement including comments, direct messages, tags, etc.
- Update agency website to reflect current and accurate information
- Create and maintain ongoing blog on agency website
- Schedule, record, edit, and post podcast episodes
- Creates all ongoing contact e-mails sent to the community and donors through email marketing software
Collateral
- Create and design all collateral material for special fundraising events, written appeals, donor and community outreach and internal material
- Manage and monitor collateral inventory
- Design internal swag items
Assist with special fundraisers and events such as SILK and Butterfly
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, business, journalism, or related field and 1-3 years of professional digital marketing experience OR equivalent years of professional experience
- Experience with email marketing software, Publisher, Adobe Creative Cloud products, Acrobat, PowerPoint, Word, and Squarespace.
- Experience writing short-form content for the purpose of community engagement
- Experience in producing engaging social media posts
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks
- Ability to inform the community of services offered by Cocoon House
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to positively represent the agency and team to create open and trusting relationships with service partners.
General:
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- DCYF background clearance
- Acceptable driver's abstract with no more than 2 violations within last 3 years
- Possess a valid driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation
Physical:
- Ability to effectively communicate with all internal and external clients
- Be able to hear voices and alarms.
- Ability to read and comprehend a variety of materials
- Ability to operate phone, computer, and record information for files and logs
- Must be able to lift up to 50 Ibs
- Must have ability to run up and down indoor and outdoor stairwells in case of youth emergency.
