Position Overview
The Marketing Coordinator is a pivotal role at Splash RV Resort, responsible for executing marketing strategies that drive occupancy, enhance brand visibility, and ensure guest satisfaction. This role plays a key part in maximizing revenue, boosting brand engagement, and creating memorable guest experiences. The position involves managing digital advertising campaigns, maintaining the resort’s online presence, preparing and working within a budget, and coordinating marketing content across multiple channels. The ideal candidate will bring creativity, organization, and data-driven insights to support the resort's marketing goals while collaborating with various teams to achieve success.
Key Responsibilities
Digital Marketing & Advertising
- Develop, launch, and optimize digital advertising campaigns across platforms (e.g., Google Ads, Facebook Ads).
- Monitor campaign performance metrics (click-through rates, conversions, ROI) and provide actionable insights for improvement.
- Plan and execute targeted campaigns to fill occupancy gaps, coordinating efforts at least 90 days in advance.
- Explore and recommend emerging digital marketing trends to enhance campaign effectiveness.
Website & Digital Management
- Regularly update the resort’s website with new events, promotions, and activity flyers using Prismic or other CMS platforms.
- Manage third-party digital listings (e.g., Google, TripAdvisor, Yelp) to ensure accurate and up-to-date information.
- Implement SEO strategies to improve search engine rankings and website traffic.
Content Coordination
- Collaborate with the activities team to integrate events into marketing materials, ensuring timely approval and distribution.
- Assist with creating and updating on-site marketing materials such as flyers and photo booth layouts.
- Work closely with the social media team to align campaigns and create engaging content for various platforms.
- Oversee the creation of photo and video assets to align with brand guidelines.
Email Marketing
- Design and distribute weekly email campaigns featuring promotions, events, and guest photos.
- Plan and execute targeted email campaigns to address occupancy challenges and promote upcoming events.
Reputation Management
- Respond to online reviews on platforms like Google, TripAdvisor, The Dyrt, and Yelp in a professional and timely manner.
- Implement strategies to enhance guest engagement and maintain a positive online reputation.
- Monitor guest feedback trends to provide insights and recommendations for operational improvements.
Partnerships & Influencer Relations
- Manage relationships with local influencers, coordinating their stays and sharing promotional content.
- Build partnerships with community organizations and develop PR strategies to boost visibility.
- Assist in drafting press releases and coordinating media coverage to enhance brand visibility.
Strategic Planning
- Collaborate with the leadership team to create quarterly marketing plans that address slower occupancy periods.
- Assist in developing promotions and initiatives for offseason cottage rentals and “bridge” weekends.
- Identify and leverage market trends to refine long-term marketing strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in digital marketing, hospitality marketing preferred.
- Proficiency in digital advertising platforms (Google Ads, Facebook Business Suite) and content management systems (Prismic or WordPress).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret campaign performance data and utilize tools such as Google Analytics or Tableau.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.
- Creative mindset with attention to detail and a proactive attitude.
- Proven ability to collaborate in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
