SHORT DESCRIPTION
The Marketing Coordinator will create and implement strategies for engaging community and customers through social media, events, and marketing materials, while ensuring alignment with the brand.
JOB SUMMARY
The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for developing and executing a strategy using various means of communications that align with our brand and create community and customer engagement. The Marketing Specialist will manage social media, event planning, and development of marketing materials. Experience with website management is highly preferred.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Social Media Management:
Develop and execute a social media strategy that aligns with our brand and engages our audience.
Create, schedule, and monitor posts across platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
Engage with followers, respond to inquiries, and analyze social media metrics to refine strategies.
Event Planning:
Plan and coordinate in-store and community events that promote our brand, products, and seasonal offerings.
Develop event marketing materials, communicate with vendors, and manage event logistics.
Evaluate the success of events and gather feedback for future improvements.
Email Marketing:
Design and manage email marketing campaigns to communicate promotions, new products, and events to customers.
Build targeted email lists and create visually appealing email templates that drive engagement.
Track and analyze email performance metrics to improve future campaigns.
Website Management (Preferred):
Assist in updating website content to ensure an accurate and current online presence.
Collaborate with team members to improve website design and functionality to enhance the user experience.
Use SEO and analytics tools to monitor website performance and identify areas for improvement.
Requirements:EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
2+ years of experience in marketing, with a focus on social media management, event planning, and email marketing.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIIES
Social Media Management:
Proficiency in managing and creating content for social media platforms, particularly Facebook and Instagram. Familiarity with social media management tools to schedule, track, and analyze performance.
Email Marketing:
Experience with email marketing platforms such as MailChimp and Constant Contact. Knowledge of segmentation strategies, campaign design, A/B testing, and performance analytics.
Website Content Management (CMS) & SEO:
Basic understanding of website content management systems (CMS) and SEO best practices to ensure content is optimized for search engines and user experience.
Graphic Design Skills:
Experience with graphic design software, including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.) or Canva, to create visually appealing content for digital channels.
Strong Organizational & Multitasking Abilities:
Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines. Strong ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
Creative Content Creation:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a creative approach to developing engaging and persuasive content across various platforms and media.
Analytical Thinking:
Strong analytical skills to interpret marketing data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions that optimize performance and improve campaigns.
Team-Oriented & Independent Work:
Ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting while also being self-driven and capable of working independently on projects.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to safely lift and/or move up to 50lbs if necessary.
Job requires physical activity including walking, bending, stooping, and squatting.
Must be able to climb stairs.
Must be able to safely use hands and arms in reaching and moving materials and products.
WORKING RELATIONSHIP:
This position requires frequent customer contact. The successful candidate will have a positive, professional and safe attitude always.
SALARY:
Compensation will vary based on experience, skills, education, and other job-related factors. The position includes eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus based on performance.
