JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for creating and implementing a comprehensive marketing plan for Michigan Operations. This includes; designing a communication strategy that is consistent with the mission of the Unified SER Family, represents SER’s culture, service population and service delivery integrity and commitment, represents content that is inclusive and can be featured across media platforms within the organization and externally.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Adheres to the mission of SER Metro-Detroit and Subsidiaries
- Produce and maintain engaging content for SER website(s), social media, and visual communications that attract target audiences.
- Oversees, designs, and approves all marketing material to be displayed in website banners, social media platform content, and hard copy brochures and flyers.
- Coordinates .marketing campaigns, including subscriber lists, email design, and campaign tracking
- Creates systems to measure and report the performance of marketing campaigns to gain insight and assess against goals. Maintains subscriber lists, both current and historical.
- Creates and maintains a comprehensive plan for acknowledgment of donors and success stories from SER Programs.
- Maintains an organized shared electronic filing system to keep pictures, images, videos, and marketing materials, both current and historical.
- Monitor and maintain branding standards for the organization.
- Build strategic relationships and partners with key industry players, agencies, and vendors to execute marketing initiatives.
- Supervises, trains, and directs subordinate personnel.
- Assumes other related duties as assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communication or related field. Minimum 2 years of experience in marketing preferably with digital marketing exposure.
- Proven experience in identifying target audiences and in creatively devising and leading across channels in marketing campaigns that engage, educate and motivate.
- Solid knowledge of website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, NetInsight, Omniture, WebTrends) and database usage.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- Effective project manager with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- A sense of aesthetics and a love for great copy and witty communication.
- Portfolio of published articles.
- Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement.
- Bilingual language skills in English/Spanish or English/Arabic preferred.
- Must possess a valid Michigan driver's license and have access to reliable transportation to travel to off-site locations/events.
- Must be willing to work a flexible schedule (evenings/weekends).
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: This is largely an active role and the employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, sit, and frequently use hands and to talk or hear. Some filing may be required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. - The noise level in the work environment is at times, moderately loud with little discomfort due to noise, dirt, dust and the like. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photo copiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
