Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Designs, develops, updates, and maintains content of the credit union’s website including, but not limited to, creating and updating all rates, web banners, basic product and corporate pages, special events, contests, etc.
  • Monitors and manages Credit Union of New Jersey online presence including but not limited to: Third Party Listing Websites, online advertising, discussion boards, social media and blogs.
  • Coordinates and maintains all web activity in a manner that presents a consistent look and feel as well as optimal performance at all times. Monitors website visitors and motions through website to improve overall functionality.
  • Collaborates with other departments within the Credit Union to produce effective web content in accordance with marketing department’s objectives.
  • Creates online marketing promotions inside Online Banking.
  • Manages DI growth and retention program and other programs to improve adoption of online products.
  • Keeps abreast of industry standards and innovations that may be deployed.
  • Assists in the deployment of new and proprietary technologies over the web.
  • Coordinates marketing project and mailings; including, but not limit to: preparing emails; coordination of lists, supplies, etc. to mail houses; and maintaining files of jobs.
  • Responsible for managing the entire email marketing program; including creating email templates, email designs, managing coordination of mail lists, and delivering emails to members.
  • Responsible for statement message, statement insertion instruction, and coordination of statement stuffers.
  • Prepares monthly reporting for various marketing trends. Coordinates and executes research on competitors and industry. Reports findings back to supervisor.
  • Coordinates advertisements for charitable sponsorship & appropriate marketing promotions.
  • Ensures that all department documents, materials and records are submitted to credit union Compliance Officer for approval with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Represents credit union during community projects and at public, social and business gatherings, when necessary. This avenue is used to make any new contacts for new business and to visit with current business contacts in a social atmosphere.
  • Acts as Branch Liaison. Provides branches with proper marketing supplies and helps to maintain consistent brand imaging throughout the credit union. Responsible for communicating marketing plans and promotions to credit union staff.
  • Maintains “on-hold” messaging system.
  • Acts as an event coordinator for all CUNJ marketing events to ensure that all functions are completed. May attend community events as required.
  • Operates the MCIF database to pull monthly reports and also conducts monthly householding update. Conducts other marketing research or particular topics as assigned.
  • Prepares monthly marketing activity reports. Examines reports for opportunities and threats; including Organizational, Strategic Plan, and Marketing numbers that are reported to the Board monthly.
  • Operates and performs monthly update of Next Profit database.
  • Participates in required regulatory and credit union training programs; and receives a passing grade on all required tests.
  • Performs such other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
  • Monitor and manage Credit Union of New Jersey’s Trustpilot page including but not limited to uploading user lists and responding to necessary responses that need follow-up.
  • Responsible for managing, creating, and deploying promotional content within the FMG Suite.
  • Responsible for managing, creating, and deploying promotional content within Pulsate.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Must know all the products and services of the credit union and be able to describe them in some detail.
  • Must be aware of how credit union operates, its policies regarding savings, lending, and checking account usage.
  • Needs to have a level of knowledge and understanding sufficient to communicate effectively to others ‑‑ a well-informed credit union representative.
  • Employee must be able to perform basic input/output functions on the credit union's computer system that relate to account creation, account information inquiry and related.
  • Ability to operate a Personal Computer with the following software applications: Microsoft Office, Outlook, an Internet Browser, and software that may be applicable from time to time to access the credit union’s member account information.
  • Familiar with social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, etc.
  • Ability to operate all standard office machinery including a fax machine, photocopier, telephone, television, and projector.
  • Employee may be required to attend training sessions and seminars both in house and outside of the Credit Union.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree plus related 3 to 5 years of experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Employee should have analytical abilities, excellent member service skills, be highly motivated, goal oriented, and a good communicator with strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Employee should be a self-starter, organized, dependable, and able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

This individual must be available for scheduling during Credit Union operating hours. Staffing assignments are periodically adjusted to meet business needs. This position could be transferred to another office in the same geographic region at any time.
