Position Overview:

We are seeking an outgoing, self-motivated professional to work closely with the Marketing Director in developing and executing marketing strategies to raise brand awareness of 6Storage in the highly competitive self-storage industry. The Marketing Coordinator oversees the 6Storage social media channels, website, email marketing strategy, and print materials production, with the goal of increasing brand awareness of the organization's products and services. The Marketing Coordinator will utilize design expertise, storytelling skills, and strategic thinking to create compelling marketing materials and campaigns that resonate with 6Storage’s target audiences.

A successful candidate is a strong, creative designer, compelling storyteller, and collaborative team player who will transform a range of subject matter into engaging marketing materials and campaigns that effectively reach 6storage’s target audiences and help reach new ones.

Responsibilities:

Marketing Strategy

  • Partner with Marketing Director to develop and implement a marketing strategy that includes social media, email marketing, website, and print communication materials to continue building the 6Storage brand and communicate our products to our target audiences.
  • Partner with Marketing Director on development of all 6Storage print communications (e.g. tradeshow signage, flyers, and additional marketing collateral materials as needed) from start to finish, including producing written content, selecting images, producing designed layout, and collaborating with outside vendors as needed (e.g. graphic designers, printers).
  • Oversee photo database and gather new imagery for communications purposes, including social media content, website updates, print and digital collateral, and more as needed.
  • Create impactful and captivating content for the 6Storage website and blog that is informative, highlights 6Storage’s thought leadership in the self-storage industry, and resonates with our target audiences.
  • Manage website content and ongoing maintenance, ensuring periodic updates are made and page overhauls are completed as needed.
  • Work with VP of Operations to ensure content being disseminated via 6Storage’s marketing channels aligns with programmatic updates and news shared internally.
  • Create and manage monthly, weekly, and daily editorial calendars.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Director to analyze the effectiveness of marketing efforts through monitoring engagement metrics, social media KPIs, feedback, and responses from digital campaigns and website analytics.
  • Stay up to date with latest social media best practices and technologies to inform 6Storage’s overall social media strategy.
  • Optimize existing 6Storage social media pages to increase content visibility and engagement.
  • Analyze existing 6Storage social media presence and strategy, identify strategic weaknesses and make well-founded recommendations for improvements.

Day-to-Day Social Media Management

  • Generate, edit, and publish weekly content on 6Storage’s social media channels that build meaningful connections with target audiences and encourage them to take desired actions (e.g. contact us, schedule demo, etc.).
  • Review and respond to inbound social media traffic, (e.g. messages, comments), Google reviews, and reviews on other software marketplaces.
  • Monitor and engage with members of the 6Storage community (e.g. vendor partners, self-storage association members, etc.) on social channels by liking, commenting on, and re-posting relevant content.

Other

  • Develop, implement, and manage strategies to build 6Storage’s presence on platforms we do not currently post content on, such as TikTok and Twitter.
  • Occasionally attend 6Storage events (e.g. tradeshows, company events, etc.) to photograph and generate social media content.
  • Additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Strong knowledge of current online marketing techniques and best practices, social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, and TikTok), website platforms (WordPress preferred), and design tools (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Canva, or similar).
  • Strong design skills (knowledge of InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Canva, or similar).
  • Experience and proficiency in using MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams) and LinkedIn.
  • Experience developing and managing comprehensive Google Ads campaigns, including keyword research, ad creation, and performance analysis, while ensuring seamless integration with backend SEO strategies to enhance overall website visibility and search engine rankings is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and storytelling skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in creating and implementing social media strategies.
  • Collaborative and energetic working style.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with all members of the 6Storage team.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively and adapt to diverse working styles in a dynamic, tech start-up environment.
  • Knowledge of social media marketing tools such as HubSpot, Hootsuite, Buffer, or Sprout Social preferred.
  • Detail-oriented and organized.

Qualification/Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (degree in graphic design, digital marketing, internet marketing, or related field a plus) or equivalent similarly situated experience.
  • One to two years of experience as a social media coordinator, content manager, copywriter, or similar role.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000-55,000 depending on experience
