Xpressdocs is looking for a Marketing Copywriter to join our team. This position will play a key role in producing client-facing marketing materials, including email, website, digital, and print. The ideal candidate will be able to write with a professional but personable and witty tone and have the ability to simplify and tailor content along with effective CTAs. Suitable applicants will have strong writing and editing skills, proven audience research experience, the ability to copy-check their and others’ work, and experience in content copywriting for blogs, social media, and video. Please be aware that writing samples will be required to be considered for this role.

In this position, you will:

  • Create engaging and effective copy for marketing materials, such as website content, emails, handouts, digital ads, and social media posts.
  • Work closely with the marketing and creative teams to understand the Xpressdocs brand and messaging and create copy that aligns with the brand voice.
  • Use data and analytics to measure the effectiveness of writing and adjust as needed.
  • Collaborate with the marketing specialists to create cohesive marketing materials.
  • Develop a deep understanding of Xpressdocs’ products, services and various audiences.
  • Stay up to date on trends and best practices for real estate, financial, and home service industries.
  • Conduct market and customer research to understand the target audience and create relevant and engaging copy.
  • Edit and proofread marketing materials to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Identify and resolve challenges and issues within the marketing copywriting process.
  • Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of XD’s marketing copywriting process.
  • Write SEO-optimized blogs and website copy.
  • Create long-form content including case studies and white papers.
  • Contribute to the overall development of the XD voice and brand.

You’ll thrive in this role if you:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, journalism, communications, or related field or equivalent combination of experience, education, and training.
  • 4+ years of proven experience in developing and executing successful copywriting for a business (B2B a significant plus)
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with a portfolio of writing samples.
  • Experience with direct response marketing, including examples demonstrating your ability to create compelling CTAs and measure their performance.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft, Google, SEO (HubSpot experience would be ideal but not required)
  • Proficiency in AI tools such as ChatGPT
  • Solid basic understanding of B2B marketing principles and the marketing funnel
  • The ability to adapt core messaging and tones for different audiences.
  • The ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects at a time, often with tight deadlines.web
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with a team.
  • The ability to work independently and proactively.
  • The ability to adapt strategies based on analytics, market trends, and feedback.
  • Experience in analytics and reporting to a team on KPIs/metrics a plus.
  • Experience in direct mail or digital products is a plus.
  • Experience working with project briefs is a plus.
  • Understanding design basics and how copy fits into a design layout is a plus.
