Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Marketing Director with a proven track record of driving growth and user acquisition for mobile apps. In this critical role, you will spearhead MyNetDiary’s marketing efforts, focusing on expanding our user base, boosting app engagement, and optimizing retention strategies to achieve measurable success in the competitive weight loss, health, and fitness app market. Your expertise in performance marketing, mobile growth strategies, and data-driven decision-making will be key to positioning MyNetDiary as a leader in the industry.

As a hands-on leader, you will collaborate closely with our internal team, contractors, and business partners to ensure all marketing initiatives are executed effectively and efficiently. This role demands a strategic visionary who can deliver outstanding results while also fostering brand awareness and long-term user loyalty.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and oversee a robust marketing strategy, ensuring alignment with MyNetDiary’s goals for brand awareness, user acquisition, engagement, while maximizing ROI.
  • Collaboration & Execution: Work and manage MyNetDiary’s internal team, contractors, and business partners to execute all marketing initiatives. While these tasks may not be performed directly by you, you will be accountable for their completion and success.
  • Website Management: Update and maintain website materials to reflect current offerings, features, and comparisons.
  • Professional Outreach: Cultivate relationships with Registered Dietitians (RDs), coaches, and educators to promote MyNetDiary’s efficacy and benefits.
  • Competitor/Market Research: Stay current with the latest trends and ideas of competition and adjacent market segments.
  • Comparative Marketing: Lead efforts to position MyNetDiary as the superior choice over competitors.
  • Campaign Management: Organize and implement impactful email campaigns, including outreach to FNCE participants and other professional connections.
  • Feature Promotion: Plan and execute new feature announcements and promotional activities to boost app visibility and adoption.
  • Social Media & Content Direction: Work closely with the Social Media Marketing (SMM) team to guide blog content and social media strategies, promoting popular features and trends.
  • Influencer Marketing: Identify, manage, and nurture relationships with influencers to amplify MyNetDiary’s reach and reputation.
  • Performance & Affiliate Marketing: Organize and monitor performance and affiliate marketing initiatives, ensuring optimal ROI.
  • In-App Marketing: Contribute to marketing messaging within the app, including upgrade calls, event notifications, and screenshots.
  • Starting with Hands-on: As the company grows, take a hands-on approach initially while building out the marketing team and leading the department in the future.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of marketing experience, with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven expertise in mobile app growth marketing, performance marketing, and influencer partnerships.
  • Strong familiarity with the health and nutrition space.
  • Exceptional communication, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while collaborating with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Experience building a marketing team from the ground up.
