Seeking a motivated Events Intern to assist in the planning and execution of various events, providing valuable hands-on experience in the event planning industry.
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Events Intern to join our dynamic team and assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of various events. This internship provides valuable hands-on experience in the event planning industry, offering the opportunity to work on a wide range of events including corporate meetings, community/ partnership events and special charity events. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, highly organized, and excited to contribute to the success of our events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Event Coordination Support: Assist the Event Manager and Coordinator with pre-event planning, logistics, and coordination of vendors, venues, and clients.
- Administrative Tasks: Help with maintaining event schedules, managing RSVPs, preparing event materials (e.g., guest lists, agendas, signage), and updating event documents.
- On-Site Event Support: Participate in event setup, breakdown, and ensure everything runs smoothly during the event, including managing attendee check-ins, providing guest assistance, and troubleshooting any issues.
- Social Media and Marketing: Help create content for event promotion, including social media posts, flyers, and newsletters. Assist with photography or videography during events.
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a college/university program related to Event Management, Hospitality, Marketing, or a related field.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Previous event planning or hospitality experience is a plus, but not required.
- Positive, proactive, and adaptable with a strong willingness to learn.
- Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and occasional holidays as required by the event schedule.
- Ability to assist with event setup and breakdown, which may involve lifting or carrying materials and standing for long periods.
