QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, public relations, or a related field with two years of marketing experience; or an Associate's degree with four years of marketing experience. Preferred qualifications include five years of marketing experience and healthcare marketing experience.

This position is responsible for supporting WVU Medicine's marketing strategies, focusing on community engagement and multi-channel marketing activities to enhance clinical programs.

This position plays a central role in the creation, and execution, of strategic marketing plans which support WVU Medicine’s strategic business priorities and operational goals. This person will focus on marketing activities of his assigned clinical programs and must have the ability to work within many areas of marketing, including working well with team members, having a strong understanding of marketing budgets, be able to place media buys in a variety of formats (print, digital, out-of-home, broadcast), executing marketing campaigns across multiple marketing channels, executing the social media strategy in support of assigned services and developing copy and content that can be repurposed across multiple outreach channels. Plays a vital role in community outreach by organizing, producing, and overseeing events and activities, both on and off campus designed to increase engagement in the community.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:
1. Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations, or related field AND Two (2) years of experience in marketing.
OR
Associate's degree in marketing, communications, public relations, or related field AND Four (4) years of experience in marketing.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :
EXPERIENCE:
1. Five (5) years of experience in marketing.
2. Healthcare marketing experience.

1. Develops and executes best practices, compiling metrics to gauge program success, and looking for creative solutions to support overall team initiatives.
2. Develops and plans WVU Medicine related outreach events, conceptualizing theme ideas, planning budgets, liaising with suppliers and clients, managing logistics, and presenting post-event reports.
3. Organizes, produces, oversees, and executes community outreach events and activities, both on and off campus designed to increase engagement in the community.
4. Writes, copy edits, proofreads, and repurposes content marketing deliverables (e.g. – collateral and web pages).
5. Supports content/editorial calendar that attracts a qualified audience.
6. Supports the creation of digital graphics and basic design and layout of materials.
7. Supports marketing automation and digital marketing campaigns.
8. Supports SEO/SEM and display advertising campaigns.
9. Accompanies vendors, media contacts for on campus visits
10. Performs support duties including but not limited to database management, reporting and analytics, monitoring industry trends and best practices, maintaining marketing materials, and tradeshow / event support.
11. Supports appointed Physician Outreach Liaison collateral and outreach needs; coordination of client needs to align with Liaison needs.
12. Supports the clients who fall under the auspices of this Strategist. As a beat lead, communicates with and supports the marketing needs of the clinical enterprise, specific to the service line assigned.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
1. Must have strong creative and professional writing skills.
3. Highly proficient with Adobe Creative Suite.
4. Highly proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
5. Familiarity with CRM.
6. Familiarity with SEO and SEM best practices.
7. Familiarity with web-based CMS and marketing analytics tools (Google Analytics a plus).
8. Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript development and constraints.
9. Strong Independent project and time management skills.
10. Firm understanding of print production and management.
11. Capable of handling multiple tasks with competing priorities under minimal supervision.
12. Ability to think critically and exercise independent judgment and discretion.
13. Technologically savvy and resourceful.
14. Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking.
15. Results-oriented and solution-focused with a problem-solving attitude.
