The Marketing Manager at Tamarack Resort will oversee marketing strategies, manage brand consistency, and drive revenue through effective digital marketing and event planning, while fostering collaboration across departments to enhance guest experience.
The Marketing Manager role at Tamarack Resort is a multi-disciplinary leadership and support function within the marketing department. Reporting directly to the Director of Marketing, this position requires high organizational skills, adaptability to a dynamic environment, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, overseeing Tamarack’s website updates, social media strategy and execution, email marketing campaigns, platform integrations, collateral production, brand management, strategy development, and generating reports and presentations to drive topline revenue. Expertise in lifestyle, resort, vacation rental, and real estate branding and marketing is essential, with an understanding of the cultural landscape of a four-season adventure resort.
JOB OVERVIEW
- Collaborates with the Director of Marketing to shape and execute Tamarack’s overall marketing strategy.
- Supports initiatives to drive profitable revenue through increased RevPAR, market share, and brand awareness for the property.
- Leverages and integrates marketing programs within the organization while monitoring relevant brand marketing programs, channels, platforms, and Tamarack initiatives.
- Strategic Problem Solving: Proactively develops creative solutions, using critical thinking and a consumer-first approach aligned with the strategic marketing plan and brand standards.
- Marketing Strategy Execution: Assists in the development and oversight of marketing strategies that support property goals and drive topline revenue.
- Brand Alignment and Consistency: Ensures the brand voice, look, and feel are consistently applied across all mediums in alignment with Sales and Operations.
- Event Planning and Oversight: Leads strategic planning for events to enhance guest experiences and increase visitation.
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Partners with team leaders across departments such as Realty, Club, Property Management, Food & Beverage, Spa and Wellness, Recreation, Weddings/Catering, and Group Sales to align marketing efforts.
- Media Asset Management: Maintains up-to-date photography and video assets that meet brand standards, coordinating with departments and external vendors as needed.
- Content Management: Oversees web and social media content to ensure it is fresh, engaging, and optimized for functionality and design.
- Club Branding: Collaborates with the Club team to strengthen branding and drive member engagement.
- Food & Beverage Branding: Collaborates with the Food & Beverage team to strengthen branding and drive local and resort guest engagement.
- Special Event Concepts: Develops ideas for special events, promotions, and marketing activities that drive revenue or brand exposure.
- CRM and Data Management: Directs CRM platform activities, including transactional and marketing email communications, ensuring data consistency and accuracy.
- Social Media and Digital Guidance: Provides oversight for social media, website development, email marketing, and collateral production.
- Meeting Participation: Attends Revenue Strategy, AOR, Digital Marketing, PR, and Manager Meetings, and communicates strategies and measurable results.
- Workflow Management: Manages workflow for marketing coordinators, managers, and vendors to ensure timely project completion.
- Digital Marketing Planning: Contributes to developing the annual digital marketing plan, partnerships, and strategies to align with resort goals and maximize revenue.
- Agency and Vendor Coordination: Manages relationships with external marketing and advertising agencies, overseeing contracts, onboarding, and ongoing collaboration.
- Property Media Shoots: Oversees property photography and video shoots, approving shot lists, schedules, and talent, and maintaining a comprehensive media library.
- Platform Integrations: Manages platform integrations across marketing channels.
- Social Media Campaigns: Executes social media campaigns, monitors KPIs, and benchmarks against industry standards.
- Design Proficiency: Uses Adobe Suite for design tasks related to marketing materials.
- Communication Skills: Exhibits strong written and verbal communication skills to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
- Cross-Functional Support: Assists other departments during peak times and events, supporting the overall growth and financial success of the resort.
- Weekend/Holiday Availability: Available to work weekends and holidays as required.
- Intermediate Skiing or Snowboarding Skills: Possesses intermediate skills in skiing or snowboarding to understand the resort environment better.
The ideal candidate for Marketing Manager will demonstrate leadership in ensuring brand standards across all media channels, both print and digital, while fostering a cohesive brand story, voice, and tone. They should excel in multitasking and project prioritization to meet deadlines, with experience in building brand cohesion, enhancing user experience, and boosting customer loyalty. A passion for snowsports and all-season recreation is a must.
