Job Summary
Manager - Wholesale Marketing, International and Licensing
We are looking for an experienced Manager of Wholesale Marketing, International and Licensing to join our brand strategy team at rag & bone. This role is responsible for coop, campaigns, content, brand and product initiatives across our wholesale, international and license partners with a keen understanding of how to leverage relationships as vehicles for marketing, customer acquisition and sell-out. You’ll collaborate with external partners to manage seasonal coop budgets while working cross functionally within the organization to understand product sell-in and drive awareness, consideration and conversion via strategies ranging from affiliate and influencer programs, organic and paid social, email, editorial, and in-store activations. You’ll have a nuanced understanding of digital media KPI’s. The right candidate knows what it’s like to work in a highly cross-functional, fast-moving organization. You value the importance of being proactive and collaborating with others to get things done. This role reports directly to Senior Director, Marketing.
Responsibilities
- Manage the seasonal coop budget across all partners, allocating funds to ensure sell out of key product initiatives while maximizing brand visibility
- Drive strategic initiatives with partners to ensure wholesale is a vehicle of customer acquisition, conversion, and brand awareness
- Work with commercial wholesale teams to identify key strategic opportunities ahead of and in-season
- Cross functional relationships across teams to inform best practice for partners
- Partner with internal creative services teams + external partners to execute in-store pop-up builds
- Negotiate rates, fees, and campaign flights based on business objectives
- Leverage internal brand marketing team to extend marketing campaigns beyond traditional co-op programs (IE: influencer, celebrity, etc.)
- Ensure partner content is brand-right, with a nuanced understanding of brand voice, look and feel
- Track all confirmed IOs in partnership with finance team to ensure chargebacks are processed
- Perform imagery audits each season (per partner) to extract buy-relevant assets for marketing usage
- Organize/distribute seasonal assets to external partners via internal/external platforms
- Attend market appointments with key partners to discuss opportunities around specific product stories
- Leverage internal brand marketing team to extend marketing campaigns beyond traditional co-op programs (IE: influencer, celebrity, etc.)
- Weekly touch bases with Domestic, EMEA and APAC teams
- Monthly check-ins with all major APAC Franchise partners to stay updated on key marketing priorities
- Track and maintain both internal brand budget + franchise partner marketing spends to keep accounts responsible for marketing activity
- Mirror campaigns/events/popup concepts from domestic into APAC markets (where applicable) to ensure global brand alignment
- Develop campaign flight plans for key licensed categories, working with external partners to manage budget expectations and sell-through
- Manage + track all license partner related expenses for both Spring/Fall campaigns
- Work with accounting to facilitate year-end invoice for contracted marketing obligation
- Brief internal partners with all seasonal wholesale, licensing and third-party content and strategic needs
- Hindsight monthly and seasonal campaign performance, measuring and analyzing KPI’s and action learnings to maximize future effectiveness
- Minimum 5+ years professional experience in wholesale and coop marketing
- Understanding of Domestic, EMEA and APAC regions
- Experience with license partners and ways of working
- Well versed in the wholesale and digital landscapes particularly new opportunities
- Self-starter with a hands-on approach, good instincts for prioritization and the ability to work under a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
- A deep understanding of wholesale and digital KPI’s
- A demonstrated ability to develop, coach, create focus and clarity in your team, communicate on an ongoing basis to provide context
- Strong communication and presentation skills, and an ability to influence stakeholders internally and externally
