Marketing Manager

About the Position

The Marketing Manager works directly under the COO of Trojan Storage and indirectly with the COO of KoBreCo. This position is primarily responsible for leading the Marketing department for Trojan Storage and optimizing digital marketing tools, websites, reservations, and lead aggregators to drive rentals, business, and revenue. This individual must be successful in a fast-paced environment that requires unmatched organizational skills, elevated digital marketing expertise, and enhanced marketing coordination of our products and services. To perform this role, this individual should have diverse skills across marketing, technology, and analytics promoting our companies and cross collaborating with departments.

Responsibilities

1. Digital Marketing Expertise

  • SEO & SEM (Search Engine Optimization and Marketing): Understanding how to optimize websites and digital content to rank higher on search engines, and effectively run paid search campaigns.
  • Content Marketing: Creating compelling, targeted content that engages audiences and supports conversion objectives.
  • Email Marketing & Automation: Developing automated campaigns to nurture leads and drive engagement.
  • Social Media Marketing: Managing paid and organic strategies to grow engagement and drive lead generation across social platforms.

2. Data Analytics & Measurement

  • Google Analytics: Proficiency in using data analytics tools to track performance, measure key metrics (conversion rates, ROAS, CPA), and make data-driven decisions.
  • A/B Testing: Skills in running and analyzing tests to improve website elements, ad creatives, and email campaigns to optimize for conversions.
  • KPI Tracking & Reporting: Ability to define, monitor, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as lead generation, sales funnel performance, and campaign ROI.

3. Lead Generation & CRM Management

  • Lead Aggregators & Reservations Platforms: Experience using third-party tools for lead generation and customer reservations.
  • Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Systems: Proficiency in CRM platforms to manage customer data, automate communications, and optimize sales processes.
  • Funnel Management: Understanding how to move potential customers through different stages of the sales funnel efficiently.

4. Technical & Web Knowledge

  • UX Principles: Familiarity with web design and user experience (UX) optimization to ensure a smooth customer journey, with skills in improving website navigation and load times.
  • E-commerce & Payment Integration: Experience in integrating payment gateways and reservation systems for seamless transactions.
  • API Integrations: Basic understanding of how different software tools (e.g., lead aggregators, CRMs) integrate via APIs to ensure smooth data flow between platforms.

5. Advertising & Media Buying

  • PPC (Pay-Per-Click) Advertising: Expertise in managing paid advertising campaigns on platforms like Google Ads, Facebook, LinkedIn, and others to drive traffic and conversions.
  • Retargeting & Programmatic Advertising: Understanding of advanced targeting strategies to reach potential customers across the web, social media, and apps.

6. Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO)

  • Ability to implement rapidly across marketing channels and strategies to identify high-impact growth opportunities.
  • CRO Skills: Expertise in using tools to improve website elements and marketing campaigns for better conversion rates.

7. Foundational Strategic & Financial Acumen

  • Revenue-Driven Strategy Development: Strong ability to align marketing initiatives with overall business goals, focusing on profitability and revenue growth.
  • Budget Management: Proficiency in managing marketing budgets, optimizing spend across channels, and forecasting campaign performance.

8. Project Management & Collaboration

  • Project Management Tools: Skills in tools like Asana, Trello, or Monday.com to manage campaigns, timelines, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Team Collaboration & Leadership: Ability to work cross-departmentally with sales, IT, design, and external agencies, or lead a digital marketing team.

9. Leadership & Inspiration

  • Provide strategic direction and inspire a high-performing marketing department by fostering a collaborative, results-driven culture. Drive the execution of marketing initiatives while mentoring team members, ensuring their growth and professional development.
  • Effectively communicate the department's vision, align team objectives with organizational goals. Manage the team’s growth, performance, schedules, and deliverables.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in marketing or related fields, with a proven track record in managing marketing campaigns. Prefer candidates from financial services, software, commercial real estate, or self-storage industries.
  • 2+ years of proven leadership in a marketing related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Proficiency in marketing automation tools (e.g., Feedbird, Python, Tableau, etc.).
  • Familiarity with SEO, PPC, Google Analytics, and social media advertising and data visualization tools such as Tableau.
  • Knowledge of CRM systems (Zoho or similar).
  • Strong ability to analyze market trends, consumer behavior, and campaign performance.
  • Strong written and communication skills required.
  • Strong creative thinking skills and the ability to generate innovative marketing ideas.
