SHORT DESCRIPTION

Seeking a Marketing Manager to create and implement innovative marketing strategies to enhance SIGMA Equipment's brand and sales initiatives while leveraging customer data and analytics.

We are looking for a Marketing Manager! As the Marketing Manager at SIGMA Equipment, you will develop a comprehensive B2B strategy to tell the story of our differentiation from our competitors and give our sales teams the best tools to help them sell, to nurture current leads and to generate new leads through creative marketing plans. You will use our extensive customer data to tailor marketing messages to customers’ needs and use insights from the data to identify projects and opportunities. We are looking for a broad-based marketer who can use multiple mediums to promote SIGMA, is passionate about their work, results-driven, keeps up with trends and technologies and embraces good marketing practices.


Duties/Responsibilities:


You will be responsible for working with our sales, buying, IT and leadership teams to develop a comprehensive strategy and, along with your marketing team, execute against that strategy.


  • Drive corporate revenue through marketing
  • Develop the annual marketing plan and the measurable goals, tactics and resources necessary to deliver increased market share, increased sales, and increased profits
  • Monitor competitor activity and stay informed of industry developments and marketing trends to identify on-going opportunities
  • Continue development of the SIGMA brand and ensure messaging is aligned
  • Build and manage the marketing budget
  • Develop and track metrics and success criteria for all marketing initiatives with a focus on ROI
  • Analyze data and prepare reports to measure performance of marketing campaigns through the sales cycle
  • Interpret business metrics to identify marketing opportunities and build plans for improvement throughout the organization
  • Explore website, social, and email analytics data and identify potential strategies for conversion improvement.
  • Lead fully integrated marketing efforts to develop and implement the email marketing strategy, including scheduling, contact acquisition, segmentation, automation, A/B and multivariate testing, content and creative optimization
  • Provide frontline support for the sales and purchasing teams through the creation of needed material and resources, such as brochures, case studies, whitepapers, ROI comparisons, etc.
  • Oversee strategic messaging for website content, blogs, testimonials, direct mail, newsletters, flyers and other promotional materials
  • Plan and execute advertising opportunities including online, print, electronic media and direct mail
  • Continually experiment with paid marketing channels to improve key conversion metrics
  • Identify, plan and coordinate the company's participation in trade shows, industry conferences, and other client-facing events

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:


  • Must be highly collaborative, creative and action oriented
  • Bonus skills: such as HTML/CSS, Canva
  • Advanced internet research capabilities and resourcefulness
  • Knowledge of social platforms including Facebook, and LinkedIn primarily
  • Confidence with compiling statistical information and processing into understandable data
  • Self-starter mentality; creative issue resolution skills
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized, methodical, able to multitask and manage timelines. Project management experience is a plus
  • Must be a team player - be willing to cross boundaries, share knowledge, and assist others
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), HTML and/or Dreamweaver a plus
  • A portfolio that showcases some projects you've worked on and implemented
  • A dual-minded approach: highly creative and an excellent writer but can also be process-driven and rely on data to make decisions.
  • Strong understanding of Google Analytics and Google Ads
  • Help promote a company culture that encourages top performance and morale

Education and Experience:


  • BA/BS degree in marketing or related business discipline
  • 5+ years of experience in B2B marketing, analytics or related field; preferably digital marketing strategies
  • Experience with social media, email marketing, lead nurturing, marketing automation, and web analytics
  • Experience in creating marketing content across a variety of channels and analyzing performance
  • WordPress experience is required
