Marketing Manager – Digital Marketing


Role Mission: As a Digital Marketing Manager, you will support a portfolio of IDEA regions and states in all aspects of marketing. You will be responsible for the planning and execution of IDEA digital marketing efforts in all regions. You will serve as a digital marketing expert on the marketing team, able to coach other team members in such things as Search Engine Optimization & Search Engine Marketing (SEO & SEM), Social Media Marketing, Content Marketing, E-mail Marketing, Digital Marketing, and Marketing Automation.


You will analyze insights and trends to determine strategies for improvement and optimizations to maximize ROI, as well as stay abreast of current technologies and trends in the digital marketing space, bringing innovative ideas and opportunities to IDEA Public Schools. The Digital Marketing Manager is responsible for successfully executing digital marketing strategies across multiple regions, monitoring the effectiveness of campaigns, and reporting results.


Location:

This is a full-time remote position based in Texas with preference given to candidates who live in Austin, El Paso, Houston, Permian Basin (Midland/Odessa), Rio Grande Valley, San Antonio, and Tarrant County (Fort Worth), or who are willing to relocate.


What You’ll Do – Accountabilities


Essential Duties:


  • Manage digital direct response channels, which may include paid search, paid social, display, and video, leveraging internal data and analytics tools to scale and optimize towards organizational goals.
  • Facilitate marketing training sessions with a strategic focus on effectively cascading key messages to regional teams as assigned.
  • Act as a liaison between internal and external teams to ensure the timely delivery of creative assets supporting marketing strategies.
  • Identify new areas of opportunity within existing placements and channels, as well as evaluate and test new technologies using market trends, and internal data industry best practices to inform decision-making.
  • Optimize marketing spend to achieve improved cost-per-acquisition metrics.
  • Identify trends within campaign data and optimize spend and performance based on the insights to improve business KPIs.
  • Aid in the creation, management and improvement of digital marketing systems and workflow processes.
  • Develop and execute paid campaigns, including keyword research, audience target, copy creation and testing, adjusting bidding and budgeting strategies to maximize efficiency.
  • Staying up to date on new trends and technologies, both in the digital marketing space as well as the broader education industry
  • Identify and implement new applications, services, and / or technologies to increase student enrollment and staff recruitment
  • Develop and implement robust reporting mechanisms to track, analyze, and present key performance metrics to partners and stakeholders, providing actionable insights to optimize overall marketing strategies


What You Bring – Competencies


Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required; Experience may be accepted in lieu of degree
  • 3-5 years experience in a related role required
  • Digital marketing certification strongly preferred but not required
  • Bilingual Spanish strongly preferred


Knowledge and Skills:


  • Strong skills in Facebook Ad Manager, Facebook Business Suite, Google Analytics (GA4), Google Ads, and Email Marketing. Additionally, the candidate should demonstrate the ability to create compelling ad content.
  • Hands-on experience buying media on search engines, DSP (The Trade Desk or similar) and social media.
  • Extensive experience using marketing automation tools (Salesforce or similar) for emails, SMS, CRM list building and advertising.
  • Proficiency with Excel, including creation of Pivot Tables & Charts, and experience analyzing marketing data and traffic to drive decision making.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing reporting based on available data.
  • Customer service mindset with strong written and verbal communication skills.

Compensation & Benefits:

Salaries for people entering this role typically fall between $81,800 and $95,800, commensurate with relevant experience and qualifications and in alignment with internal equity. This role is also eligible for performance pay based on organizational performance and goal attainment.
