SHORT DESCRIPTION

The Marketing and Media Assistant supports the marketing and sales strategies of the community, with a focus on event planning, lead generation, and marketing performance analysis while ensuring effective communication and collaboration with various teams.

GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Marketing and Media Assistant works in accordance with established policies and procedures of the community with specific instruction from the Marketing and Sales Director. The Marketing and Media Strategist provides support for all aspects of the marketing and sales effort and provides coordination of the closing and move- in function. This primarily includes receptionist responsibilities, managing administrative functions coordinating events, completing reports, serving in a hospitality role, managing office inventory and providing other administrative support functions.

This position is responsible for planning, developing and directing marketing strategy at the community. The Director of Marketing will take the lead in the development of strategic marketing plans for the community in fill-up and at full occupancy. This position will provide support to the Sales teams on an ongoing and collaborative basis.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIP:

  • This position reports to the Sales Director

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Answers and directs incoming phone calls and manages the lead distribution system
  • Greets and serves all visitors to the marketing office in accordance with the Life Care Services Extraordinary Impressions program
  • Plans and implements all elements associated with marketing events within the approved budget
  • Prepares and updates marketing and sales reports
  • Provides overall strategic leadership in all marketing efforts at the community-level
  • Works with the community team, owner, and advertising agency (as applicable) in establishing community market strategy for lead generation and lead nurturing/advancement – to include but not limited to:
    • Direct Mail campaigns
    • Event planning
    • Print advertising
    • Other advertising channels as identified
  • Provides strategic direction on the development of collateral and online presence for the community in collaboration with Sales Director, Regional Sales Director & Corporate Marketing Strategist;
  • Analyzes data from 3 rd party vendors to ensure relationship and channels are maximized, to include but not limited to:
    • Reputation.com
    • One Day app
    • Marchex
  • Provides direction and strategy for social media channels to promote the community and optimize these social channels;
  • Lead the community in developing a robust and ongoing Public Relations strategy – to include local publications & other local outlets
  • In conjunction with the Sales Director, collaborates, plans and executes all functions related to Resident Referral/Lead Generation/Resident Ambassador programs
  • Provides a review of market opportunity, including competitive analysis and market assessment review and input in collaboration with Corporate Marketing Strategist and Market Research;
  • Maintains an awareness regarding the profitability for the community and its overall impact to LCS
  • Participates in community leadership meetings & owner meetings (as applicable) to include presentations to explain the marketing vision, approach and strategy
  • Conducts audits of the CRM to ensure proper lead attribution
  • Provides audits of community systems to assure the consistent and accurate use of the systems by community staff
  • Focuses on needs of marketing performance, needs and initiatives to help improve efficiencies and standards for community performance
  • Maintains regular and timely communications and meetings with SMD, ED, and other corporate support staff as applicable. Responsible for maintenance of marketing systems, including Sales Force , C3 Leads and C3 LinC, and capable of producing data results and system generated reports Processes invoices and is responsible for maintaining budget performance spreadsheets
  • Manages the office by tracking inventory and ordering office supplies, collateral, and other printed materials within the approved budget
  • Maintains and updates the office schedule including events.
  • Assists with the preparation of the annual marketing plan by creating data tables, compiling components created by others and producing the final plan
  • Coordinates and creates the marketing newsletter
Provides coverage at front desk as needed

EXPERIENCES & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or a related field
  • Experience with computer-based record keeping systems and word processing systems
  • Ability to work independently without direct supervision
  • Self-motivated

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong Knowledge of Digital Marketing and Media platforms
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of field and corporate staff, clients, and vendors
  • Public speaking/presentation skills are required
  • Extensive knowledge of marketing techniques and demonstrated proficiency in sales and marketing skills
  • 10+ years of experience in marketing field

Pay: up to $22/hour

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS & FREQUENCY:

  • Must be able to travel occasionally

The candidate is subject to background checks, as required by Life Care Services. In addition, possession of a valid driver’s license and acceptable insurance coverage is required.
