SHORT DESCRIPTION

Seeking a Category/Program Manager to oversee commercialization and marketing of consumer and professional products, ensuring successful implementation and collaboration across teams to drive sales growth.

Program Manager – JS Products

JS PRODUCTS, market leader in tool innovation, is in search of a Category/Program Manager to support worldwide expansion and growth of the company’s sales plan. The position entails the implementation, tracking, and optimization of the commercialization and marketing of consumer retail products and professional/industrial products and programs the company brings to market directly or through its channel customer partners.

Under the supervision of the Vice President of Marketing, the Category/Program Manager will drive product & program commercialization efforts specific to our Retail sales segment. The ideal candidate will quickly become adept at translating the direction from the customer and Sales Segment Lead into executable product programs developed by our Research & Development (R&D) team. This position requires proven experience in project management and cross-functional team collaboration.

Key duties/responsibilities of Category/Program Manager:

· Understands functional use of products in assigned categories. Categories may include but are not limited to: hand tools, work supports, shelving, power tool accessories, yard/garden equipment.

· Work directly with Sales Segment to manage approved product program opportunities

· Facilitator and Liaison between Sales and R&D. Responsible for tracking status and driving timelines for the budgeted Segment product program initiatives.

· Project Manager and lead facilitator for Segment Product Opportunity Development (POD) team.

· Provides technical support, collateral, and new product training for customer service

· Manage multiple interactive and traditional marketing projects of various sizes - from initiation to completion. May use standard project management tools, such as Microsoft Project, PowerPoint, Excel, Wrike, etc.

· Create and manage project timelines, identify deliverables and coordinate with other functional teams to ensure on time completion

· Develop Business Requirement Documentation for each new project to ensure that the scope of work defined matches our client's expectations

· Pro-actively present new business building ideas for each account that you service, to promote long term client relationships

· As needed, write proposals or other documentation in support of these efforts

· Provide content for regular commercialization and marketing efforts, including researching, writing, editing, sourcing images and distribution

· Collaborate with Sales Segment lead to develop product ideas, solicit contributions and create other programs designed to generate positive content

· Support brand communication projects and programs, including internal brand campaigns and events, internal brand-related newsletters, and electronic communication efforts

· Collaborate with other functional areas within the organization and with external groups, including vendor management

· Handle various project-oriented tasks as needed

Qualifications/Skills

· Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

· Minimum 4 Years of professional experience

· Experience with QA documentation and processes

· Multi-Tasker - Must be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

· Communicator - Keeps team members and management informed regarding timelines, progress and changes made during course of executing the project.

· Client Relationship Management (Client facing, gathering business requirements, planning client's brand marketing initiatives)

· Understanding of social media platforms (Facebook, Youtube, Twitter, etc)

· Product marketing expertise including analysis of consumer insights & research

· Ability to work efficiently under pressure, handle multiple deadlines and work with frequent interruptions or changes in priority

· Detail oriented while exhibiting great creativity, energy, and resourcefulness

· Experience in developing and maintaining a brand voice. We work with more than one brand; some of these have significant crossover, while others don’t. You must be able to write for each audience, keeping the facts and details straight.

Work Environment:

This job is based in our Las Vegas Corporate Headquarters. This role requires routine use of a personal computer and other typical office equipment. The selected individual must be able to successfully pass a background and drug screening as a condition of employment. Infrequent travel in support of business activities may be required.
