SHORT DESCRIPTION
The Marketing Specialist will support the development and execution of marketing projects, creating multimedia content, managing campaigns, and ensuring adherence to the District's communication and brand guidelines.
The Marketing Specialist position contributes to the development and execution of key projects for the Marketing and Community Relations Department. Provides support to the District’s marketing functions and campaigns through the creation of print and digital visual assets, including graphic design, photography and videography, website content, and other multimedia. Assists with ensuring consistent quality of content and dissemination of information using District communication platforms. Assists with fulfillment of marketing requests from school sites and District departments.

A Bachelor’s degree is preferred, but not required, in communications, marketing, public relations or related field
Proven work experience as a Marketing Specialist or similar role
Possesses understanding of marketing best practices (including traditional and digital marketing such as digital ads, social media, etc)
Must possess and maintain valid DPS IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
Ability to operate a digital camera and capture photo and video content
Familiarity with graphic design software such Adobe Creative Suite
Experience managing paid digital ads and social media campaigns
Experience coordinating the content creation, design, layout, and production of marketing materials
Possesses strong communication skills, both oral and written
Experience with web content management tools and email marketing software
Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
Highly organized and detail oriented.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Designs and creates digital and print marketing materials to generate enrollment, advertise events, promote initiatives, and support other District priorities.
Develops and updates a wide variety of engaging content for District website, email and social media platforms.
Coordinates and manages the development and implementation of social media, print, and direct mail ad campaigns, including production of copy, creative, and target audience segmentation.
Supports lead generation through the growth and development of email databases, contact lists, and other prospects.
Monitors and prepares data on campaign metrics, marketing insights, prospect demographics, and enrollment trends.
Supports the Marketing and Community Relations Department to ensure overall adherence to the District’s communication and brand guidelines.
Attends District and school related activities and events to capture written, visual, and audio content for marketing purposes.
Assists with fulfillment of requests for marketing assistance from eight schools and District departments.
Supports representation of the District brand to ensure consistent and positive communication of its image as a District of choice.
Assists with the production and coordination of targeted marketing deliverables for special projects such as the Combs Performing Arts Center and alternative and online education options.
Assists with the Combs Education Foundation marketing efforts.
Serves as an additional liaison to external vendors for marketing and advertising projects
