SHORT DESCRIPTION

The Marketing Specialist will support GCommerce clients by managing digital marketing campaigns, developing marketing strategies, and optimizing digital presence to achieve client goals.

Job Description

The Marketing Specialist will assist the client account teams in support of GCommerce clients in all aspects of digital marketing from management and execution of campaigns to creation of marketing plans and budgets. The Specialist will work with the Customer Success Manager and client team on setting marketing strategy to achieve desired client objectives and goals.

Key Responsibilities

● Own digital marketing best practices and standards within the organization, including Reporting, Measurement and Return on Investment (ROI)/Return on Ad Spend for digital campaigns.

● Assist with client strategy as relating to social media, display, email, and content marketing with assigned clients. Help identify how to best achieve goals and objectives by utilizing best practices, industry trends, and regular testing.

● Translate business goals into digital marketing objectives, creating and communicating marketing targets / briefs.

● Partner with the search marketing and account services departments to develop specific digital strategies and identify requirements for all marketing assignments, including: email, display ads, landing pages, social media and website assessments and updates.

● Collaborate with other Marketing Team Members on the team to oversee digital projects and advertising campaigns from concept to implementation.

● Fluency in email platforms to create strategy, brainstorm offers and packages, provide creative ideas, launch regular email campaigns, assist with database management and provide reporting and analysis.

● Fluency in eCRM platforms and triggered email strategies.

● Create and execute ongoing social media strategies and campaigns

● Collaborate with Customer Success Managers to evaluate customer segments and create customer segmentation groups for focused targeted marketing based on customer profiling.

● Gather and share competitive insights related to marketing strategies by targeted competitors and recommend marketing strategies to counter or off-set competitor marketing moves based on learned trends and insights.

● Use analytic tools to track, monitor and optimize digital presence and campaigns based on historical performance.

● Understand and use DV360 for our clients for programmatic display advertising including static, HTML5 and video.

● Write marketing plans based upon an agreed strategy for the client.

● Drive results through defining and delivering digital marketing KPIs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Marketing Plans

Marketing Plan research, strategy, brainstorming, creation

● Provide year in review including data and analysis on campaign performance from past year

● Provide research, written recommendations, contract negotiations, preferred pricing and descriptions for marketing services consistent with the overall strategy for the account

● Track marketing plan budget expenditures

● Track budget against actual each month for each client

Client Task/Project execution

● Follow the project/action plan and use Workamajig

● Strategy meetings action tasks

● Ensure timeliness

● Ensure accuracy

● Provide creative input

● Track and prove ROI for each initiative

Client email

● Create campaigns

● Testing

● Tracking

● ROI measurement

● Creative design input

● Copywriting

● Develop test matrices, a/b test offers, test creative

● Utilize Revinate, Mailchimp, and/or GMS email/eCRM platforms

Paid Advertising (DV360/Adara/Expedia/Direct Buys)

● Research, strategy and recommendations

● Stay current on the market and industry

● Ad placement

● Contract approval and tracking

● ROI measurement/objective setting

● Deep understanding of data driven marketing and DV360 platform

● Process proficiency within DV360

Website assessment

● Use current GCommerce web assessment format

● Content analysis

● Creative analysis

● Community analysis

● Photography assessment, recommendations and posting

● Competitor analysis

● Mobile analysis

● Social media analysis

Website content updates

● Ensure appropriate updates are completed either directly or through the GCommerce partners

● Provide creative/function/navigation input and recommendations

Social Media Advertising

● Create social media strategic advertising plans

● Facebook/Instagram, LinkedIn advertising

● Campaigns/Contests (using ShortStack or other 3rd party platform)

● Other Social Media services as they are developed

Google Analytics Proficiency and Certification

● GA4 certification required for all Marketing Team Members

General

● General Internet marketing research for the purpose of bringing leading edge thinking and ideas to our clients and sales teams. GCommerce competitor tracking should be completed quarterly.

● Works closely with the Customer Success Managers on client strategy and execution.

● Works closely with outside partners (3rd party vendors, Destination/Interest based sites, ad agencies, web designers, travel writers, photographers, virtual tour companies and social media partners) to accomplish tasks by given deadlines.

● In general should be able to gather market information and perform analysis on gathered information.

● Contributes to brainstorming with the team.

● Able to multitask effectively while keeping all projects on track.

Possesses flexibility in doing what it takes to get the job done, and is always willing to learn new skills important to the job.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
