Seeking a creative Marketing Specialist to enhance brand promotion, support donor recruitment, and collaborate with various departments while managing marketing content and engaging with the community.
We are seeking a highly creative and motivated Marketing Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a background in marketing, communications, graphic design, content creation, and project coordination. This role involves supporting and promoting the Companys brand, goals, and objectives as well as that of any subsidiary entities. This role will provide strategic internal support and communications to the operations team to help promote blood collections and increase donor recruitment.
- Content Creation: Supports the Creative Specialist in the development of compelling marketing materials, both print and digital, while influencing the target audience to take action. Assists the Digital Marketing Specialist in the creation of social media content.
- Donor Recruitment: Assists in the development of system-wide and regional promotions for the purpose of recruiting blood donors. Coordinates logistics and implementation of these promotional campaigns.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including Operations, to promote cooperation, communication, and to ensure cohesive and effective solutions for community outreach and engagement.
- Document Management: Maintain accuracy and standardization of marketing material by utilizing internal file organization systems, as well as conducting an annual review of marketing materials.
- Marketing: Supports the marketing and communications goals that align with the strategic marketing plan for LifeShare, as well as targeted focus for any subsidiary entities within LifeShare.
- Customer Service: Meets and exceeds customer expectations and adheres to established quality practices.
- Community Engagement: Promotes LifeShare within the community by attending various community events and engaging with the public as appropriate.
- Website Content Management: Assists Creative Specialist and Director of Community Engagement in the development and management of website workflow and content.
KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES:
- Bachelors degree in marketing, public relations, communication, or related field, plus
- At least 1 year of related work experience in marketing, customer relations management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform job duties
- Possess knowledge and experience in the tenets of traditional marketing; proficiency in content marketing theory and application
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint); Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. Proficiency in Canva a plus.
- Skilled in graphic design and film/video direction
- Demonstrated creativity and a passion for connecting with current and future donors
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects at one time
- Ability to interpret direction and constructive feedback to refine material
- Ability to learn new software programs
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; effective interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- Possess winning customer service techniques such as empathy, patience, advocacy, and conflict resolution
- Demonstrate effective teamwork with ability to coordinate and guide other employees when necessary
- Must be self-motivated to work independently, with little or no direct supervision
- Requires occasional travel within the community to meetings and events or to other centers; must have reliable transportation with state minimum insurance coverage, possess a valid state drivers license, and be insurable by our commercial auto insurance carrier
