Aireon is seeking a Marketing Specialist to assist in planning and executing trade shows and support various marketing initiatives, contributing to a team focused on enhancing the aviation industry through innovative technology.
Aireon deployed the world’s first global space-based air traffic surveillance system, providing real-time aircraft monitoring capabilities around the world, including over the poles, over the oceans and in remote areas.
Aireon data enables safer, more efficient and more environmentally friendly aviation travel, resulting in significant CO2 emission reductions. More than 20 Air Navigation Service Providers representing more than 40 countries – including NAV CANADA, NATS (UK), Air Traffic and Navigation Services (South Africa), Airports Authority of India (AAI), and ASECNA (Africa) - rely on Aireon data to navigate aircraft in their airspaces.

Position Summary, Job Requirements & Responsibilities:The Marketing Specialist will also support other departmental initiatives, including internal communications, content creation, and creation of sales materials for an international audience. What You'll Do

- Marketing support for the international sales team
- A Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or related field
- 1-3 years of experience in marketing, corporate communications, or media relations
- Experience in supporting trade shows and conferences
- Knowledge of marketing and communications within a business-to-business communications industry
- Exceptional organization and time management skills that enable a high volume of detailed work with conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Professional writing and editing experience
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time, including international travel
- Experience in communicating on technology topics a plus
- Social media experience a plus
- Experience with content management systems and CRM (Salesforce) a plus
- Experience with marketing and communication platforms i.e. Google Analytics, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, SproutSocial, or Monday.com

1-3-6-12 Month Plan
In the first month we'll expect you to...
- Get onboarded and train with your manager
- Get acclimated into the role
- Understand the tools and different stakeholders
- Begin attending meetings and brainstorming sessions on trade show and conference planning
- Attend your first Aireon trade show, and compile a post-show report on the booth, competitors, and key takeaways
- Brainstorm some Aireon technology and people content ideas – videos, articles, graphics, etc.
- Create and maintain a complete calendar of Aireon trade shows, conferences, speaking engagements, and internal events
- Propose recommendations for improvements to trade show processes and procedures
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to create Aireon-branded content for internal and external audiences
- Plan from start to finish significant events for Aireon, including booth planning, logistics, show management, and post-show report
- Work with sales and product teams to examine the next year trade show needs
- Collaborate with the Director of Marketing to determine budget and priorities
- Execute a series of content pieces across internal and external digital platforms
- The marketing team is small, but there is a great deal of opportunity to develop professionally. Want to learn about trade shows? Looking to focus on digital marketing? Interested in media relations? Any and all are possible.
- It’s important to stay up-to-date on what the larger sales and product management team is doing to make sure marketing campaigns are aligned. The team is spread across the globe, so web conferencing and email communication are key tactics to stay connected.
