QUALIFICATIONS
2-3 years of marketing experience, strong understanding of digital marketing principles, proficiency in content creation tools, experience with social media management platforms, and strong written and verbal communication skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct market research, develop marketing strategies, create and manage content for social media, email marketing, and website, assist in paid advertising campaigns, and track marketing performance.

About our company: Since 1960 we have offered a wide variety of building materials. In our 5 locations, you will find brick, block, tile, sand, gravel, cement, steel, stone, firewood, BBQs, tools, pre-cast products, protective coating systems and ready mix concrete. We have an inside retail space with a tile and BBQ showroom and a five-acre, super active yard filled with hardscape building materials.
What we are looking for: Sepulveda Building Materials, a family owned company is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Mid-Level Marketing Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in marketing, with a passion for creativity. This role is crucial in executing marketing strategies that enhance our brand presence, drive demand generation, and support our overall business objectives. If you are a self-starter with a knack for creativity and a solid understanding of branding/marketing principles, this is the perfect role for you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategy Development:
- Conduct market research to identify target demographics and competitor analysis.
- Create and implement integrated marketing plans aligned with business goals.
- Develop brand messaging and positioning to enhance brand identity.
- Content Creation:
- Create engaging social media content, email newsletters, and campaigns.
- Design eye-catching graphics and visual assets for marketing materials.
- Manage and update website content to maintain accuracy and SEO optimization.
- Merchandise products for displays, sales, promos, and seasons.
- Social Media Management:
- Develop and execute social media strategies across platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
- Monitor and respond to customer inquiries and comments on social media.
- Create engaging social media campaigns to drive audience growth and engagement.
- Email Marketing:
- Manage email marketing lists and segment subscribers for targeted campaigns.
- Design and send email newsletters with compelling calls-to-action.
- Track email campaign performance and make adjustments as needed.
- Paid Advertising:
- Assists in paid advertising campaigns on platforms like Google Ads and Facebook Ads.
- Respond to customer ratings and reviews.
- Track campaign performance.
Required Skills:
- Strong understanding of digital marketing principles and best practices
- Proficiency in content creation tools including photography and editing
- Experience with social media management platforms
- Basic knowledge of SEO optimization techniques
- Analytical skills to track and interpret marketing data
Desired Qualifications:
- At least 2-3 years of experience in marketing or related field
- Proven experience in small business marketing, ideally with a focus on local customer engagement
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms (e.g., Google Ads, social media, CRM systems).
- Creative thinking with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in marketing tools and technologies; experience with HTML email systems such as MailChimp or Constant Contact; experience in relevant social engagement platforms
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in writing and editing content and a keen eye for detail and design esthetics
- Excellent skills in Google Suite, PDFs, PowerPoint and document formatting
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $26.00 - $31.00 per hour
