Job Description

The Marketing Strategist will play a critical role in developing and executing integrated marketing strategies across paid, owned, and influencer channels. This role combines cross-functional expertise with a strong foundation in content strategy and writing to craft compelling, results-driven campaigns.

Reporting to the Director of Networked Media, the Marketing Strategist will contribute to channel strategies, create content that drives engagement, and collaborate across internal teams to deliver innovative solutions for clients. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is excited to flex across multiple disciplines.


Key Responsibilities

Content Strategy and Writing

  • Lead the development of content strategies that align with client goals and resonate with target audiences.

  • Create high-quality, impactful content, including campaign messaging, web copy, email, social posts, thought leadership, and more.
  • Ensure all content is optimized for channels, platforms, and audience needs, incorporating SEO best practices.
  • Collaborate with creative teams to ensure content supports visual and storytelling elements.

Channel Expertise

  • Develop and execute cross-channel marketing strategies, including paid, owned, and influencer marketing.

  • Support or Lead owned media efforts, including website optimization, email campaigns, and social media (community management, posting, monitoring).
  • Collaborate with internal teams to integrate content, digital, and media strategies into cohesive campaigns.
  • Identify innovative opportunities in content creation, digital platforms, and media trends to drive client growth.
  • Identify and activate creators who align with client goals and manage influencer marketing.
  • Stay informed on the latest tools, platforms, and technologies across marketing disciplines.

Client Collaboration

  • Partner with account teams to align marketing strategies with client objectives and KPIs.

  • Present strategies, content recommendations, and campaign results to clients in a clear and compelling manner.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, ensuring trust and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.

Performance and Reporting

  • Lead reporting efforts for campaigns, synthesizing data from multiple sources (paid, owned, and influencer channels) into actionable insights.

  • Create and deliver performance reports that clearly articulate ROI, key findings, and recommendations for optimization.
  • Develop analytics frameworks to measure success across channels, aligning metrics with client KPIs and objectives.
  • Continuously refine strategies based on performance data, audience feedback, and emerging trends.


Requirements

Qualifications

  • Experience: 5+ years in marketing, communications, or content strategy, with experience across paid, owned, and influencer channels.

  • Agency Experience: Prior agency experience is strongly preferred.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field is preferred but not required.

Skills & Expertise

  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to craft compelling content for diverse channels and audiences.

  • Proficiency in content strategy, including audience research, editorial planning, and SEO optimization.
  • Working knowledge of paid media platforms (Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn, programmatic DSPs) and digital tools (Google Analytics, HubSpot, WordPress, Webflow or similar).
  • Familiarity with influencer marketing platforms and best practices.
  • Strong analytical mindset, with the ability to interpret performance data and translate insights into action.

  • Agile and adaptable, with the ability to work across multiple projects and teams simultaneously.
