SHORT DESCRIPTION
Marketing Manager job at Mezrah Consulting, responsible for developing and managing a marketing department, crafting strategy and messaging for initiatives, and managing direct reports.
The Marketing Manager will be an experienced marketing generalist, driven to develop and manage a marketing department and be a principal advocate in all aspects of marketing. The Marketing Manager will craft strategy and messaging for all new and ongoing initiatives. This position reports to the Director of Marketing and will be directly responsible for the efficient management of direct reports, including marketing associate(s) and graphic design specialist(s). This is NOT a remote position.
Responsibilities
- Manage technical aspects of key marketing systems (e.g., marketing automation, CRM) used to generate, distribute, and report on leads.
- Rebrand company materials and deliverables, this includes presentations, websites, logo, white papers, email campaigns (marketing & client services), enrollment materials, marketing materials, business cards, etc.
- Manage, update, and maintain all aspects of website content.
- Establish and maintain scalable processes that ensure best practices in campaign and lead management.
- Craft landing pages and lead generation forms for our content to be distributed through relevant paid programs.
- Evaluate new technologies and add-on applications to improve and optimize marketing team performance.
- Establish a sustainable, strategic approach to PR based on adding value to media outlets and event managers, not just asking for it.
- Create and maintain metrics reports on marketing and sales activities, effectiveness, and business impact.
- Measure results and optimize the lead nurturing workflows for these segments to convert leads into customers.
- Measure and optimize our marketing using vendor-specific dashboards, Google Analytics, and marketing analytics reports.
- Collaborate with marketing teammates to maintain a consistent brand voice and message across all paid programs.
- Create high-quality blog content around important and relevant topics to our industry as well as articulating the services offered by Mezrah Consulting.
- Blog on an ongoing basis to support and promote our company and services to attract site victors through search, social media, and email subscribers.
- Conduct analytical projects to improve blog strategies/tactics.
- Grow blog subscribers, convert visitors into leads, and expand our blog's overall reach.
- Manage the company’s social media profiles and presence, including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and additional channels (e.g., YouTube) that may be deemed relevant.
- Drive consistent, relevant traffic and leads from our social network presence.
- Monitor and engage in relevant social discussions about our company, competitors, and/or industry, both from existing leads and customers as well as from brand new audiences.
- Track, measure, and analyze all initiatives to report on social media ROI.
- Stay up to date with digital marketing trends and potential new channels and strategies to keep us ahead, including updates to social media marketing, attribution, and programmatic media buying.
- Stay up to date with the latest trends and changes with SEO and major search engines.
- Manage and improve organic search engine performance and goal setting based on click through rates, traffic, and conversions.
- Create, implement, and manage various email marketing campaigns, including the template designs, calls-to-action, and content used in our email sends.
- Segment lists based on behaviors like past email engagement and website interactions (content downloads, site page visits, etc.).
- Grow our email list organically and work to minimize list decay and unsubscribes while increasing the productivity of our email sends.
- Develop documentation and road maps for processes, A/B tests, and promotions that succeed through email.
- Regularly create content (e.g., case studies, white papers, press releases, corporate announcements, creative content like SlideShare presentations, videos, website copy, blog posts, Quora/forum responses, etc.) to articulate the benefits of our services to the world.
- Create 1-2 resources each month to drive leads, subscribers, awareness, and/or other important metrics (examples include whitepapers, article submissions to magazines or other subscriptions, infographics, guides, templates, etc.).
- Connect with influential media outlets and journalists to place stories about company news and other initiatives, when relevant.
- Collaborate with internal and external influencers, including industry experts, to produce relevant content that meets the needs of both key stakeholders and our audience.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Four-year college degree.
- 5+ years marketing management experience
- Project management: Proven ability to lead, manage or contribute to marketing projects from start to completion, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business objectives.
- Applied marketing automation: Working knowledge of marketing automation tools to streamline processes and enhance customer engagement, including implementation and optimization of these technologies.
- Experience with HubSpot, Monday.com, and/or Salesforce: Strong preference for candidates with firsthand experience using these platforms to drive marketing initiatives and improve team collaboration.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, including In-Design preferred.
- Candidates with experience marketing products and services of financial institutions, accounting/tax, consulting, or other technical professional services a plus.

- Strong attention to detail with ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks within set deadlines.
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, including In-Design, demand generation, inbound marketing, and blogging.
- An analytical mind and interest in using data to optimize/scale blog marketing strategies and tactics.
- Excellent creative thinker, with an ability to use both data and intuition to inform decisions.
- Proficiency in using social media software to monitor social media conversations. You will be our ear to the ground to route the right marketer and/or Client Relationship Manager to social conversations.
- Experience with data-driven SEO analysis and optimization. Knowledge of search ranking and optimization factors and key algorithm updates. Proficiency in web analytics software and keyword tools.
- Experience with CRM tools such as Salesforce, campaign management, reporting, list development, managing and tracking tasks.
- Knowledge of HTML and CSS style coding experience a plus.
