Summary
The Marketing Operations Manager will play a pivotal role in driving scalability, efficiency, and data-driven decision-making to support high-velocity growth initiatives. This role is responsible for optimizing and managing the operational infrastructure behind growth marketing efforts, including campaign execution, marketing technology, data and analytics, and process improvements. The Manager will ensure that the growth marketing team has the tools, insights, and operational processes needed to execute at scale, drive customer acquisition, and maximize revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Growth Strategy & Alignment:
- Collaborate with the VP of Growth Marketing to operationalize the growth marketing strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Translate growth marketing objectives into actionable operational plans, managing timelines, resources, and deliverables.
- Partner with cross-functional teams, including product, sales, and analytics, to drive collaboration and ensure growth marketing initiatives are aligned with business priorities.
- Marketing Technology & Infrastructure:
- Manage and optimize the growth marketing tech stack, including Salesforce, HubSpot, and Google Analytics.
- Evaluate, implement, and integrate new technologies to support customer acquisition, lead generation, marketing workflow, and digital asset management.
- Ensure the seamless flow of data across marketing systems, driving automation and efficiency in campaign execution.
- Campaign Execution & Optimization:
- Oversee the systems and processes supporting marketing campaigns, ensuring efficient workflows, accurate targeting, and timely delivery.
- Implement testing frameworks (A/B testing, multivariate testing) to optimize campaign performance across channels (paid, organic, email, etc.).
- Monitor and adjust processes to support rapid experimentation, iteration, and scaling of successful growth initiatives.
- Data & Analytics:
- Lead the marketing analytics function, providing insights into customer acquisition, funnel performance, and campaign effectiveness.
- Develop and maintain dashboards to track key growth metrics, including customer acquisition cost (CAC), lifetime value (LTV), conversion rates, and ROI.
- Use data to identify growth opportunities and provide actionable recommendations for optimizing marketing investments.
- Funnel Management & Optimization:
- Work closely with the growth marketing team to monitor and optimize the customer acquisition funnel, from lead generation to conversion.
- Implement lead scoring and nurturing processes to ensure high-quality leads move through the funnel efficiently.
- Identify and remove bottlenecks in the funnel, ensuring that growth marketing campaigns are maximizing conversion rates and revenue potential.
- Process Improvement & Scalability:
- Establish and refine processes that enable rapid growth marketing experimentation, ensuring agility and responsiveness to market changes.
- Create standardized templates, workflows, and playbooks for campaign execution, lead management, and reporting to improve team productivity.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to scale growth marketing efforts efficiently while maintaining quality and consistency.
- Budget & Resource Management:
- Collaborate with the growth marketing leadership to manage the marketing operations budget, optimizing the allocation of resources.
- Ensure growth initiatives are cost-effective and deliver strong ROI, regularly reporting on budget performance and optimization opportunities.
- Oversee relationships with vendors and third-party partners, negotiating contracts and managing deliverables.
- Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead, mentor, and develop the marketing operations team within the growth marketing department, fostering a culture of collaboration, experimentation, and performance.
- Set clear goals and KPIs for the team, providing regular feedback and coaching to drive continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with other teams to share best practices and align on cross-functional growth initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Education & Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Marketing, Business, Data Analytics, or a related field
- 7+ years of experience in marketing operations, growth marketing, or a related role, with at least 4 years in a management role focused on building and optimizing marketing systems and processes.
- Extensive experience setting up Salesforce campaigns, reports and dashboards. Experience with multi-touch attribution a plus.
- Demonstrated success in managing data-driven growth marketing campaigns and optimizing customer acquisition funnels.
