Media Associate Director (TEMP)


Our Client, a company at the forefront of audio entertainment innovation, is seeking a visionary Media Associate Director (contractor) to join our Marketing team. As a key member within the Paid Media organization, you will spearhead groundbreaking, customer-centric initiatives to drive significant customer acquisition and enhance brand awareness. Your primary focus will be on developing and executing high-impact media strategies for major tentpole content releases and new IP launches.


We're looking for an industry veteran with a proven track record of successfully launching high-profile entertainment properties. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in developing and implementing multi-channel media strategies that generate buzz and drive engagement for premium entertainment brands.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and oversee comprehensive, cross-channel media strategies for our client's most significant content releases, including those featuring A-list talent and major IP
  • Lead the conceptualization and execution of innovative, large-scale media campaigns that position our client as a premier entertainment brand working in close collaboration with Content Marketing counterparts
  • Provide strategic direction to internal teams and agency partners, ensuring alignment with overarching business objectives and brand vision
  • Manage substantial campaign budgets and forecast ROI for high-stakes launches
  • Work directly with media owners to brainstorm creative media ideas to bring content campaigns to life
  • Work closely with internal analytics teams to design tests to prove media investment ROI
  • Pioneer new approaches to media planning and buying that push the boundaries of traditional and digital marketing in the audio entertainment space


Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in senior media roles, with a focus on entertainment marketing
  • Proven success in launching major entertainment tentpoles or high-profile content releases
  • Extensive knowledge of both traditional and digital media landscapes, with a keen understanding of emerging platforms and technologies
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire influence and guide cross-functional teams
  • Experience in social and influencer marketing
  • Understanding of the entertainment industry, including talent relations and IP management preferred
  • MBA or advanced degree in Marketing, Business, or related field preferred
