Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Mortgage Sales Manager to lead, grow, develop and manage a high-performing sales team. We strive to provide our loan officers with the resources they need to succeed. On top of being able to lend nationally, we provide new fresh leads daily with a high engagement rate, generated by our own in-house marketing group. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the mortgage industry, with a proven track record in sales leadership, coaching, and driving business growth.
This position is responsible for overseeing mortgage loan origination and driving sales strategies to meet the company's financial goals while ensuring exceptional customer service and compliance with regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities:
Sales Leadership: Lead, mentor, recruit, and motivate a team of mortgage loan officers to achieve and exceed sales targets.
Strategy Development: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to increase mortgage origination volume, maximize market share, and grow the customer base.
Training & Development: Provide ongoing coaching and training to sales staff to improve sales skills, product knowledge, and overall performance. Structuring the daily/weekly/monthly sales activities and efforts along with coaching for sales scripting and coaching.
Performance Management: Monitor and evaluate team performance, providing feedback and guidance to ensure goals are met and individual/team development.
Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with real estate agents, builders, financial planners, and other referral partners to generate new business opportunities.
Pipeline Management: Oversee the sales pipeline, ensuring timely and efficient processing of loans from application to closing. Achieves sales quotas, forecast sales, and conducts strategic planning to fuel revenue growth.
Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure adherence to all regulatory and company guidelines, ensuring compliance with lending laws and regulations.
Market Analysis: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market conditions, and competitive landscape to identify new opportunities and adjust strategies accordingly.
Reporting & Analytics: Track and report on sales metrics, providing regular updates to senior management on team performance and sales activities.
Qualifications:
Prior success in managing a mortgage sales team in mortgage originations sales, where meeting/exceeding sales targets was met.
Successful history of recruiting and retaining high performing MLO?s.
5+ years of experience in mortgage sales or a related field, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
Proven track record of success in mortgage origination and meeting/exceeding sales targets.
Strong understanding of mortgage products, industry regulations, and the loan origination process.
Exceptional leadership, training, coaching, and mentoring skills.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with a focus on client satisfaction.
Ability to analyze sales data, track team performance, and make data-driven decisions.
Knowledge of loan origination software and CRM systems.
NMLS (National Mortgage Licensing System) certification required.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with secondary market and wholesale lending.
Strong network of industry contacts and referral partners.
Advanced problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically.
Knowledge of risk management and underwriting guidelines.
