QUALIFICATIONS
Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists; MRI certification within one year of hire. Graduate of an AMA-approved school of radiologic technology preferred. BLS certification is also preferred. For PRN MRI Tech II position, 2-3 years of MRI experience is preferred.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Operate MRI scanner, prepare patient, room, and equipment, order supplies and medications, administer exams and medications according to age-specific standards, ensure safe operation of the magnet, assist in service marketing, and participate in ongoing training related to MRI safety guidelines.

SHORT DESCRIPTION
Responsible for operating MRI equipment and ensuring patient safety while performing imaging procedures and maintaining equipment readiness.
SUMMARY: Operates MRI scanner; reviews images in PACS. Prepares patient, room, and equipment. Orders supplies and medication. Administers exams and medications according to age specific standards. Assures safe operation of the magnetwhile providing optimal patient care and applying all principles of patient safety. Assists in service marketing as requested. Uses RIS and SCM systems and is expected to participate in on-going training and education relating to positioning, technique and MRI safety guidelines.
Required Licensure/Certification/Registration: Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists; MRI certification within one year of hire
Preferred Education/Training: Graduate of an AMA-approved school of radiologic technology
Preferred Experience: **PRN MRI Tech II ONLY** 2-3 years MRI experience
Preferred Licensure/Certification/Registration: BLS
