As a member of the University Communications department, within the Creative Content team, the Multimedia Producer will help further establish this brand by creating compelling video and multimedia content that connects with our community, resonates with prospective students, and amplifies the university’s strategic goals and mission as a leading academic and research institution. This position will also focus on connecting, in particular, with online learners. The ideal candidate is comfortable telling stories in a variety of mediums—with a focus on video—and who is passionate about sharing authentic voices. They will demonstrate a commitment to equity and to upholding university values.
In this role, the Multimedia Producer will be responsible for creating multimedia content, including marketing materials, social media videos, photography, and other products. The ideal candidate will excel at managing multiple deadlines and projects with multiple stakeholders. They will join a team of creative thinkers and doers who thrive on collaboration and telling stories that resonate.
The Multimedia Producer will be an organized, collaborative individual who can thrive in a deadline-driven environment and have strong project management skills. They should possess excellent videography and editing skills and have a proven ability to share stories in in creative, accessible ways.
Multimedia Producer
What you will do:
- Produce multimedia content, ranging from video to photography, that supports online education, University Communications projects, marketing campaigns, website updates, and communications plans (for internal and external audiences).
- Capture video, take photos, and coordinate shoots in collaboration with the Creative Content team to support University Communications projects.
- Perform interviews, gather information, and develop storyboards.
- Support preparing materials for digital asset management system.
- Keep inventory of equipment. Help maintain equipment.
- Help develop a multimedia calendar that supports other Creative Content production schedules and content calendars.
Qualifications you already possess (Minimum Qualifications)
- Bachelor’s degree in videography, photography, journalism, communications, marketing, or a related field.
- At least two years of experience in producing video content.
- Proven ability to process and create multimedia content for different audiences, formats, and contexts.
- Demonstrated understanding of professional video equipment, including DSLR cameras, 4K video capture, audio/mics, and lighting.
- Experience using After Effects and Premiere Pro
Substitution: A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor’s degree on a year for year basis.
Preferred Qualification to possess (Preferred Qualifications)
- Proficiency using content management systems.
- Experience in Adobe Creative suite (including Illustrator), Lightroom, Photoshop, social media platforms, and other design and creative programs.
- Knowledge or experience with using teleprompters for video shoots.

- Keen understanding of creative content trends and best practices.
- Experience developing story or creative concepts from the idea stage to launch.
- Excellent attention to detail.

- Ability to effectively manage multiples projects and deadlines, and skilled at handling multiple priorities in a shifting landscape.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and works well with minimal direction.

Conditions of Employment
- This position follows a hybrid work structure where employees can work remotely or from the office, a minimum of 3 days per week on campus will be required. Working from the office is required when working on tasks that require a high degree of collaboration.

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established at $66,360 - $73,345
The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.
The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
This position is not eligible for overtime compensation.
