SHORT DESCRIPTION

The National Director, Account Relations will enhance the American Diabetes Association’s sales strategy and partner marketing implementation to drive growth, deepen relationships, and ensure successful partnerships.

The National Director, Account Relations (Sales Enablement & Relationship Support) is instrumental to the success of the American Diabetes Association’s impact and growth strategy. In this highly visible and strategic role, you will act as ADA’s point person for ensuring a cohesive sales strategy and partner marketing implementation that drive partner, program, mission, and revenue success.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Director will play a key role in supporting the corporate relations team by creating and executing partner deliverables that drive revenue, deepen partner relationships, and enhance sales effectiveness. This individual will collaborate closely with corporate relations team members and marketing department to develop tools, campaigns, and resources that align with the organization's goals and resonate with key partners.

To do this, you will:

Sales Enablement

  • Collaborate with the corporate relations team to understand partner needs and sales goals.
  • Develop tools such as presentations, pitch decks, case studies, and one-pagers tailored for relationship-based selling.
  • Create personalized outreach materials to support sales team in maintaining and growing relationships.
  • Lead and execute external-facing corporate relations messaging, ensuring alignment with ADA’s brand identity and strategic goals.

Partner Relations and Development

  • Lead development of partner assets for ADA partnership launches, including key messaging, social media content, and press releases to drive awareness and engagement.
  • Oversee content development for digital platforms, including the corporate relations section of the ADA website, ensuring materials effectively showcase the value of partnerships.
  • Design and implement selected partner marketing campaigns with collaboration from the marketing department to support specific accounts.
  • Ensure all partner initiatives reflect the partner and ADA’s brand positioning and resonate with partner needs.
  • Provide ongoing corporate relations content for email marketing, newsletters, and thought leadership pieces to strengthen partner engagement.
  • Analyze partner behavior and market trends to recommend messaging strategies that drive engagement and trust.
  • Apply sound judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting issues with transparency.
  • Creates presentations, structured agendas for partners, and collaborates with marketing to develop plans and assets for campaign. Reviews their campaign elements, press releases, marketing collateral and other campaign resources. Directs the teams and partners on how to utilize available resources to create an effective partnership.

Content Development

  • Create engaging and on-brand materials, such as client success stories, program impact overviews, and value propositions in collaboration with ADA marketing team.
  • Develop materials that reinforce the value of the ADA brand in the context of long-term corporate partnerships.

  • Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience in partnership development, account management, sales enablement and relationship marketing expertise.
  • Excellent verbal, written communication, and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in marketing tools, CRM systems, Adobe, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proven organizational and relational strengths with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to be a self-starter, problem solver and a goal-oriented team leader/player.
  • Always meets deadlines and can achieve results in a team environment. The ability to manage and oversee projects to successful completion is mandatory.

  • Solid business acumen and experience establishing and building partner relationships.
