Job Summary:
This role will serve as one of two National Directors of Sales, overseeing the sales organization within your designated area. Key responsibilities include developing sales strategies, identifying roles and responsibilities for field sales personnel, creating hiring profiles, recruiting field teams, setting performance objectives, and advising on the design of incentive compensation strategies and programs. In this role the individual will lead the field sales and regional operations teams, in your designated area and be responsible for achieving the organization’s revenue goals. This role will also be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with key customers across multiple different accounts.
This position requires a mix of sales strategy, strong leadership, cross-functional collaboration, business analytics, as well as a deep understanding of hospital and health system processes.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Leading the Regional Business Directors within your designated area to deliver flawless customer facing sales execution to deliver on patient and business commitments
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners and brand marketing teams to develop and implement effective sales strategies
- Participate in the ongoing refinement of our targeting process
- Establish productive and professional relationships with key personnel at large accounts and develop relationships with influential urologist across the country
- Collaborating with Sr. Management to translate brand strategies into actionable tactics for the sales force and develop standards across regions to measure success.
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the sales department
- Partnering with business partners to develop, communicate and administer sales forecasts, sales call plan, sales incentive plan. Monitor and analyze performance metrics and suggest improvements.
- Provide timely and effective solutions aligned with customer needs
- Liaise with Marketing, Market Access, Medical Affairs and Product Development departments to ensure a collaborative approach to the business
Drive mastery of requisite skills (business, selling skills, therapeutic understanding, territory management, etc.) of the sales organization by partnering with Sales Training by identifying key areas for development and developing appropriate curriculum
List of qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree, B.A. /B.S. required; Masters in related field or M.B.A is preferred
- Minimum of 7 years previous leadership experience
- In depth knowledge of managing a high-performance sales team
- Hospital experience strongly preferred
- Device experience preferred
- Urology experience preferred
- Applicable experience in establishing sales performance metrics
- Outstanding communication, presentation, and leadership skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Customer oriented with strong negotiation skills
- Analytical and data-driven problem solver
- Ability to travel 60%
