QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree, 3+ years business development/sales experience, experience prospecting and working with medium to large companies, demonstrable client service and presentation skills, ability to negotiate and manage contractual arrangements, proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

About the role
DNV Business Assurance North America is headquartered in Katy, TX just outside of Houston. Our sales team is assigned to various regions across the US and centrally supported from our Katy office. We sell Risk management Services to include: Management System Certification (ISO, Food Safety certification services, and training to companies of all sizes across multiple industries.
The North America Business Development Manager is responsible for ensuring that sales targets are achieved by developing contacts and approaching new potential strategic markets and companies and promoting pertinent DNV Business Assurance products/services as per the established sales & marketing strategy, tactical plan and marketing plan.
This is a 100% remote position based in the United States.
What You'll Do:
- Responsible for generating and closing leads and opportunities within Business Assurance and within assigned region, in accordance with DNV s Global and North American strategy and individual targets.
- Builds and maintains effective and professional relationships and close cooperation with key internal stakeholders and support teams, including Key Client Managers, project managers, technical teams, operations and finance.
- Executes business development strategy and offers solutions to NA based prospects for domestic and international opportunities.
- Visits potential clients to present and prospect for new business.
- Develops close working relationships with DNV Global affiliates to fully present DNV capabilities.
- Develops and issues proposals, negotiates fees and finalizes terms and conditions as necessary.
- Secures appropriate legal documents for client relationship, including non-disclosure agreements, service agreements and statements of work.
- Prospects and qualifies opportunities within identified Strategic and Target Accounts.
- Develops close partnerships with client service team to ensure transparency and understanding of client information and requirements.
- Performs key administrative functions: preparation of pipeline reports, CRM updated, maintenance of data in Intranet, and other reports/presentations as may be required by management.
- Actively promotes the image, capability and integrity of DNV to the marketplace.

DNV provides a reasonable range of compensation for this role. The actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors, including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific location. The range of starting pay for this role is $90,000 - $120,000.
