Nutrition Business Development Intern

About the company:

Doherty Nutrition is the largest private dietetics practice in Texas and soon to be Illinois that provides nutrition counseling and consulting services. We provide nutrition services that range from individual counseling, group classes, public speaking engagements, and consulting projects. We are on a mission to take the stereotype of “diet” out of dietitian and make working with a dietitian simple, fun, and realistic.

Position Summary:

We’re seeking a driven Business Development Contractor to support our business development manager with provider outreach, social media content, marketing projects, and strategic growth initiatives. You’ll gain hands-on experience in marketing, project management, and industry research, providing a solid foundation in business development.

This role has the opportunity to converting to full or part time.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with provider outreach, flyer updates, and prospect tracking
• In person flyer and brochure drop offs to medical provider offices
• Maintain a database of clients and outreach tracking
• Generate and create social media content
• Conduct website audits for updates
• Prepare presentations and sales materials
• Participate in meetings, track action items
• Support email marketing and market research

Minimum Qualifications:

• Strong interest in business development and marketing
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Self-motivated and organized, with remote work experience preferred
• Comfortable with a role that requires local 75% travel/driving.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Pursuing a degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
• Pursuing a career or degree in nutrition or dietetics

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 20 per week

Schedule:

• 4 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday

Willingness to travel:

• 75% (Required)
