Seeking a passionate Human Resource and Office Manager to support recruitment, onboarding, and administrative functions while enhancing marketing initiatives at a law firm.

About Us:

Stroud, Willink, & Howard, LLC, a law firm located on the Capital Square, is seeking a passionate and engaging Human Resource and Office Manager to join our growing team! Reporting to the firm’s Managing Member and working alongside the firm’s Controller and an excellent team of legal professionals, this role will provide support on a variety of initiatives including Recruitment & Candidate Selection, Onboarding & Orientation, Coaching Employee/Client Relations, Marketing, and much more. The ideal candidate should possess a positive attitude with strong professional, organizational, and communication skills, a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple priorities.

Job Duties:

Human Resources

  • Facilitate the recruitment process of attorneys and staff from beginning to end, fostering positive candidate experiences
  • Onboard new employee to optimize first impressions and ensure a smooth offboarding process when necessary
  • Manage personnel files and employee benefit programs and assist employees with related inquiries
  • Supervise and coach our team of legal assistants/paralegals/office staff
  • Work with staff to cover absences
  • Assist in maintaining and updating documentation of firm policies and procedures

Administrative Support

  • Provide administrative support to the Managing Member
  • Organize and manage offsite records
  • Procure all necessary supplies and equipment for the firm and coordinate with the firm’s vendors
  • Maintaining and troubleshooting office technology
  • Perform special projects on an as-needed basis

Marketing Support

  • Organization and coordinate marketing and firm events, including meet-and-greets, firm gatherings, and community events
  • Maintaining website content and social media posts
  • Coordinate nomination process for legal organizations
  • Promote and maintain positive relations with all internal and external contacts, business partners, and clients

Competencies:

  • Effective communication skills (oral and written)
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to proofread and perform editing (e.g. punctuation, grammar, spelling)
  • Communicate with and follow instructions respectfully and effectively from a diverse group of attorneys and staff
  • Superb organizational skills
  • Computer operation and knowledge that includes Office 365, Teams, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills
  • Ability to work on complex projects with general direction and minimal guidance
  • Knowledge and experience with social media marketing
  • General knowledge of applicable wage and hour laws

Required Education and Experience:

  • At least two years of office administration experience, preferably in a law firm or professional services environment
  • Associate's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Marketing, Communications, or business-related areas or equivalent on-the-job experience
