Olukai Retail District Manager
LOCATION
Based in Florida, with flexibility required for retail support, including weekends and holidays.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in a related field, 7 years of retail leadership experience, including 3 years in a senior management role, and experience with new store openings. Strong communication and analytical skills are required.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop consumer retail experiences, hire and coach management teams, own sales and P&L operations, implement data-driven strategies, collaborate with eCommerce and marketing teams, and manage annual planning and budgeting for the region.

OluKai is looking for an experienced retail operator to lead strategy and performance for their retail stores, ensuring exceptional consumer experiences while driving sales growth and operational efficiency.
OluKai is seeking a highly experienced retail operator to help create and execute a retail strategy and own regional performance of OluKai owned retail stores as well as lean in to support the oversee operations and expansion efforts of our portfolio brands when necessary. This role requires a passion for creating industry leading consumer experiences as well as the proven ability to successfully manage fast retail growth. A successful candidate will have an entrepreneurial spirit and is responsible for strategy and execution of all aspects of retail, including store experiences, events, staffing, operations, revenue growth and profitability. You will work closely with senior leadership on strategic planning as well as collaborate with multiple departments to deliver successful results.

- Develop a best-in-class consumer retail experience in the stores under your management
- Hire great managers and staff, coach teams in efficient retail operations with focus on training programs that inspire high-achieving retail store teams
- Assist retail leadership to develop the strategy and execution of a top performing sales culture that aligns with brand values
- Fully own each operation’s sales and P&L
- Take a data driven approach to management including KPI reporting weekly, monthly, seasonally
- Lead the strategy of store experience and design for ongoing improvement of existing stores, and support new store build outs
- Collaborate with the eCommerce team to help develop customer acquisition initiatives and online to offline direct-to-consumer experiences
- Collaborate with the buying team to seasonally plan inventory, store assortments and manage in-season allocations
- Work collaboratively with the marketing teams to develop and execute the annual marketing strategy and manage Go To Market activities for the region
- Help create and execute the visual merchandising strategy
- Collaborate with brand marketing and local partners to build community through experiences and strategic partnerships
- Lead annual planning and budgeting for the region as well as updates when necessary
- Implement tight inventory control and ensure a culture of shrink awareness and implementation of loss prevention activities to achieve shrink goals

The Ideal Candidate:
- Has overseen all aspects of multi-store retail (3+ stores) for a lifestyle brand for three or more years
- Developed and led sales training programs for retail store associates resulting in increased sales
- Assisted in store expansion initiatives with demonstrated skills in onboarding new stores
- Five or more years of hands-on experience with four-wall economics and can speak fluently to driving traffic, conversion and upsell initiatives and controllable expenses
- Experience building and managing regional and market-level store management teams
- Experience with visual merchandising at retail stores and has executed on VM decisions that drive product selling performance
Requirements:
- Based in Florida
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- 7 years of experience in retail leadership roles demonstrating increased role and responsibility
- 3 years in a senior retail management role – Area or District Manager
- 3 years’ experience working for a brand opening new stores annually
- Strong verbal and written communication skills required. Must be a strong analytical and critical thinker
- Will need to be in retail stores occasionally on weekends and holidays to support to retail teams
- This role does not operate on a standard Monday – Friday 40-hour / week role, flexibility is required to ensure stores receive all the support necessary to reach business goals
- Available for overnight, weekend and holiday travel when needed, including extended travel occurring during new store openings Travel will increase with additional store openings
