The Operations Associate position is a critical role within our organization, providing support in areas of people operations, office management, finance and company culture initiatives. This role will work closely with the Director of Operations and Recruiting Manager to help elevate the employee experience. This is a hybrid position based out of our Washington D.C. office.

Key Responsibilities:.

  • Operations
    • Review and negotiate vendor agreements
    • Provide basic IT support and procure company technology
    • Support executive team with key initiatives and special projects
    • Evaluate tools and software platforms to fill gaps
  • Financial and Office Management:
    • Assist with the preparation of financial reports, including tracking expenses and managing invoices.
    • Help review and process client and freelancer payments.
    • Support office management tasks, including ordering supplies and managing vendor relationships.
    • Coordinate with CPA to facilitate tax payments and compliance tasks
  • HR Support:
    • Help manage employee records, benefits administration, and payroll processing.
    • Assist with employee check-ins and HR-related inquiries.
    • Support international team management and ensure smooth communication across teams.
  • Event Planning and Culture Initiatives:
    • Assist with the planning and execution of company events, including the annual Shark Summit.
    • Help manage employee and client gifting programs.
    • Support initiatives to promote and enhance company culture.
  • Employer Brand Management:
    • Coordinate efforts to improve employer positioning in the market as a top workplace through award applications, job board profiles, and review generation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field (or relevant experience).
  • Strong organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace Suite (Sheets, Slides, Docs)
  • Comfortable learning new platforms quickly (ADP, Quickbooks)
