SHORT DESCRIPTION
Seeking an Outreach Engagement Specialist to engage and enroll existing Medicaid, Medicare, and Whole Health members in Magellan's Behavioral Health Care Management program, acting as an ambassador within the community.
- Conducts daily outreach efforts, via telephone, to referred or assigned members with recent inpatient/RTC admissions at lower levels of complexity, and/or were unreachable by Magellan’s Behavioral Health care management team, and/or were previously identified through a targeted lead report, to engage in patient-centered, specific conversations about opportunities with and the benefits of enrolling in Magellan’s Care Management program.
- Ensures that each existing member agreeing to enroll in Magellan’s Behavioral Health Care Management services at no additional cost to the member is immediately linked to or has a scheduled meeting with a Care Manager, per Magellan procedures.
- Ensures that each contacted member understands Magellan’s Behavioral Health Care Management services including service benefits and purpose, process to access services, and other available services. Ensures that each member is engaged in a manner that is individualized and addresses the member’s needs and means of understanding information in order to encourage participation in Magellan’s Care Management programs included as part of member benefits.
- Works collaboratively with other engagement specialists, care managers, care supports, and other clinical operations team staff to ensure comprehensive and coordinated delivery of services for members.
- Provides detailed documentation on attempts to reach and engage appropriate Magellan Unable to Reach (UTR) workflows when a member unreachable.
- Assumes responsibility for self-development and career progression, proactively seeking and participating in position-based training (formal and informal).
- Responsible for staying informed of ever-changing information to maintain accuracy when dealing with members.

$62,255This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
