Seeking a Part-time Brand Marketing Manager Contractor to grow Acorns' brand through innovative marketing efforts, reporting to the Senior Brand Marketing Manager for a 6-month, 20-hour/week engagement.

Part-Time Brand Marketing Manager [Contract Role]| Acorns

Acorns is seeking a Part-time Brand Marketing Manager Contractor to help grow our brand through creative marketing initiatives, bold ideas, and breakthrough content. Reporting directly to the Senior Brand Marketing Manager, you will collaborate across the marketing team to ensure the development of creative that addresses the customer needs, tells the story of Acorns, and drives growth. We’re looking for an individual who is creative, strategic, and who will take the initiative to bring ideas to life.

This contractor role is for a duration of 6 months, requiring 20 hours of work per week.

Acorns is a remote-first organization, offering the flexibility to work remotely while providing optional access to office space in Irvine, CA.

What you will do at Acorns.

  • Deep dive into and understand the current marketing strategy, channels, funnel, metrics and process

  • Integrate into the team and familiarize yourself with all tools and processes

  • Own our day-to-day growth creative process for Acorns Early, including creative reporting and offering ideas for continued testing

  • Partner with the growth marketing team to review podcast partners, and offer ideas for additional verticals to speak to Acorns customers

  • Own the creative messaging for podcasts, refining the best way for our partner hosts to speak to the Acorns' story and mission

  • Tell a clear and compelling story through multiple marketing touchpoints in a way that inspires customers to act

  • Dive into research around customer needs, and identity opportunities where Acorns Early can be a solution to help customers build their financial future

  • Actively pitch exciting new creative ideas to drive growth

  • Stay on top of trends, and identify opportunities for Acorns Early to speak to our customers in exciting new ways

  • Become a collaborative, solution-oriented partner to our cross-functional partner teams

  • Stay nimble and adaptable to change

  • Champion our brand through multiple marketing touchpoints

What you will bring to Acorns:

  • 4 or more years of relevant experience in brand marketing, social media, or similar roles

  • Hands-on experience working with podcasts, influencers, creators, and agency partners

  • Sharp storytelling skills that inspire customers to action

  • Strong understanding of media and social platforms, and their creative best practices

  • Passion for and experience collaborating on marketing programs, launches, and campaigns

  • Excellent collaboration and interpersonal skills

Compensation Information:

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $45/hour and $60/hour; however, compensation offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Company reserves the right to modify hourly rate at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
