Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Music Business & Marketing Instructor to join our team. This part-time role involves teaching aspiring music professionals about the fundamentals of the music business, branding, and marketing strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver engaging, up-to-date lessons using Powerpoint or equivalent on music business topics such as copyright, royalties, publishing, contracts, and licensing.
- Teach Modern marketing techniques, including social media strategies, audience building, and content creation tailored for the music industry.
- Provide real-world insights into the music industry and help students navigate career opportunities.
- Assess and provide constructive feedback on student work.
- Stay updated on industry trends to ensure curriculum relevance.
Qualifications:
- 5+ Years previous teaching or mentoring experience is a must.
- Proven experience in the music business or marketing sector (5+ years preferred).
- Strong understanding of music marketing, digital platforms, and brand development.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Passionate about education and fostering growth in aspiring professionals.
- Must be reliable, extremely trustworthy, on-time, responsible, professional, have a great attitude, and be a team player
- Ability to communicate at a high level
- Ability to follow and manage curriculum/course alignment map
- Must have a car or ability to travel to and from work on time
- Must be able to provide students with various hands-on exercises throughout each class as well as give informal quizzes for the students from time to time
- Ability to organize, track and communicate with all students attending the class, as well as director or other instructors/teammates.

- You are able to teach multiple students at the same time, follow a basic curriculum providing routine assignments, short quizzes and managing expectations of the students.
- You have Music Business experience, and have Music Industry credits
