QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or similar field, with a minimum of 3 years of marketing experience, knowledge of healthcare promotion principles, and experience with online marketing and social media.

The Physician Outreach Coordinator is responsible for developing outreach programs, building community relationships, and promoting the practice to increase patient volume and referrals.
Job Summary
The Physician Outreach Coordinator will be responsible for developing outreach programs, connecting with community organizations, and promoting our practice by building and maintaining relationships in the community.
Responsibilities
- Promotes/markets the practice, including the physical therapy department, via routine visits to primary care and other health care offices to increase patient volume and referrals.
- Develops new sources of primary care referrals, with focus on outlying communities.
- Develops and maintains relationships with referral sources which include physicians, employers, urgent care providers, etc.
- Assists with the development of marketing to existing patients (email outreach, etc.).
- Coordinates / assists in planning and organizing special events, employee events, seminars, open houses, etc. Promotes goodwill.
- Maintains necessary records, reports, and statistics.
- Track and report on outreach activities and outcomes.
- Performs related work as required.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or similar field.
Experience
- Minimum of three (3) years of marketing experience.
- Knowledge of marketing and health care promotion principles and theories.
- Experience with online marketing and social media.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Prefer 3 years’ experience of direct marketing to physicians and clinic (pharma, medical devices, etc.).
- Previous experience with event planning and marketing.
- Knowledge of marketing practices and research to formulate goals and objectives.
- Experience establishing and maintaining working relationships with physicians, staff, and the public.
- Experience developing marketing campaigns, brochures, and other promotional materials.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and to set priorities.
- Ability to work effectively with staff, patients, the public and external agencies.
- Ability to exercise initiative, problem solving and decision making.
- Ability to determine what is confidential, privileged or proprietary information.
- Ability to examine documents for accuracy and completeness.
- Ability to communicate clearly.
- Ability to maintain good organization.

Working Conditions:
- Work is performed in a medical office setting with frequent outreach events/marketing visits to clients at medical practice offices, luncheons, seminars, events, etc.
- May be exposed to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medical preparations, biohazards, bodily fluids and other conditions common to a clinic setting.
- Involves frequent contact with staff and the public.
- Contact involves dealing with sick persons.
- Interaction with others may be constant and interruptive.
- Work may be stressful at times.
- May involve dealing with angry or upset individuals.
- May periodically work outside of normal work hours.
- Requires business travel in the Tulsa, OK area.
Physical Requirements:
- Requires sitting or standing for long periods of time.
- Requires viewing computer screen and typing for long periods.
- Requires normal physical strength to exert up to 30 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently to move objects.
- Requires normal physical agility, which includes stooping, bending and stretching to access files and supplies.
- Requires normal concentration regarding complexity and timeliness of decision making.
- Requires normal memory, taking into consideration the amount and type of information involved.
- Average visual acuity necessary to prepare or review documents or operate equipment.
- Ability to speak, frequently conveying detailed or important information or ideas accurately.
- Ability to hear normal speech, both in person and on the telephone.
