Pickleball Director
LOCATION
Various locations across New York State including Long Island, Westchester, Manhattan, and the Capital Region.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of two years of experience in pickleball instruction, strong leadership and motivational skills, superior communication skills, and experience in sales and marketing.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and implement pickleball programs, maximize profitability, recruit and train staff, consult with members on programming, and promote company services.

SHORT DESCRIPTION
Responsible for developing pickleball programs at SPORTIME clubs, ensuring quality instruction, and enhancing profitability while fostering a collaborative environment among staff.
JOB SUMMARY: Help develop and implement pickleball instructional, recreational and competitive programming for our members and guests that maximizes court revenue, minimizes related expenses, and reflects the high standard of excellence that we have established for all SPORTIME services. To team build with and be a resource for the staff of other pickleball instructors in order to better serve our members and guests. To maximize and protect the profitability of all programming. To recruit, interview and hire qualified teaching professionals pickleball programs when needed. Train, coach and educate staff of pickleball instructors on all pickleball instructional and administrative related matters on a daily basis and at weekly meetings when applicable. Mentor and be a resource for pickleball coaches. To help design our instructional programs to offer quality instruction to our members at every age, level, and level of interest. Provide concierge-type consultation services to all members and guests relating to pickleball programming. Be knowledgeable of all competitive pickleball opportunities, both sanctioned and unsanctioned. Stay current on all pickleball certifications that will put our site on the cutting edge of all pickleball developments. To help introduce tennis members to pickleball and to provide welcoming opportunities for them to play.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Bottom line profitability of all pickleball programming
- To providing the highest quality instruction in a safe and enriching environment
- Recruiting of teaching staff
- Educate, coach, and team build with teaching staff
- Report important information to the GM of site
- Service the needs of our members, i.e. consulting, programming, etc.
- Promote other products and services of our company
- Attend sales and orientation meetings when necessary
- Assist in the planning of and attend special events hosted by our company
- Help promote company marketing initiatives
- To be a team player and use my best effort to help our company reach its goals.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Strong knowledge of the overall pickleball and recreational industry
- Minimum of two (2) years experience of pickleball instruction
- Determination to succeed regardless of the amount of time and effort required
- Understanding of our company’s mission statement
- Knowledge of other Sportime offerings
- Strong team building skills
