SHORT DESCRIPTION

Summer internship focusing on product marketing functions supporting MGK's Vector/Public Health segment, through various marketing projects and data analytics.

MGK has 100+ years' of experience focusing on sustainable & environmentally conscious ways to protect families and crops from pests around the world, using our synthetic and certified organic, botanically based pesticide products.

This summer internship will focus on exposing an intern to a wide variety of product marketing functions that support our Vector/Public Health segment and other businesses - participate in new product development teams, data analytics, collaborate with the MarCom Team and assist in preparing an annual business plan.

This is a full time, paid internship that will pay $20 an hour and will require you to be onsite at our Brooklyn Park office. This position does not offer relocation assistance. The internship will run from May 27 – August 15.

Principal Responsibilities:

Learn product management principles
- Assist with product development activities – label and sales collateral development, training materials, advertising plan, etc.
- Conduct data analytics and assist with CRM optimization
- Collaborate with MarCom team to develop content and work with agency partners
- Assist in annual business plan development
- Assist in creating and executing a customer survey
- Conduct market research and keep apprised of market trends

Conduct a customer persona review for MGK’s main markets
- Identify key customer personas
- Identify key marketing tactics for each persona
- Present findings to the marketing team

Work with multiple marketing managers on a variety of product marketing projects

Qualifications

Must be pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business or related field (e.g. Marketing, Marketing Analytics, Economics), preferably finishing their third year as of May 2024
Must be self-motivated and can work independently
Demonstrated multi-tasking and prioritization skills
Effective written and verbal communication
Aptitude to read and understand technical documents
Strong organization and detail oriented
Ability to work in a team environment
Strong interpersonal skills
Demonstrated proficiency in the MS Office Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Access and Power BI)
