Podcast Production Specialist (Luna)

ABOUT THIS JOB

This is a contractor-to-hire role, and we are looking for a skilled and passionate Podcast Production Specialist to join our team at LUNA Insurance, a Trend Capital portfolio company and elevate our podcasting efforts. Ideal candidates will manage the entire production process of our podcasts. From pre-production planning to post-production editing, you'll take ownership of ensuring our podcasts maintain high-quality standards and connect with our target audience. This position demands creativity, an eye for design, technical expertise, and a talent for storytelling.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Set up and operate recording equipment, ensuring optimal audio quality.

• In charge of technical support during live or pre-recorded sessions.

• Troubleshoot and resolve any audio, visual, lighting issues during recording.

• Edit raw audio files to create polished, professional-quality episodes, including removing background noise, ums, and ahs etc.

• Add intro/outro music, sound effects, and advertisements.

• Balance and mix audio levels to ensure consistency.

• Upload finished episodes to podcast platforms (e.g., Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts) and manage metadata.

• Write engaging episode titles, captions, descriptions, and show notes.

• Create engaging thumbnails

• Optimize Channel performance and track creative affect through YouTube analytics.

• Review episodes for content accuracy, clarity, and compliance with brand guidelines.

• Ensure all podcasts adhere to copyright and licensing standards.

• Promote episodes on social media and other platforms.

• Monitor audience feedback and analytics to optimize future content.

• Be in charge of the full cycle of pre/post production for this podcast.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE SKILLS

• Proven experience in podcast production, audio, or video editing.

• Proficiency with audio editing software (e.g., Adobe Audition, Audacity, Pro Tools, Logic Pro X).

• Strong knowledge of audio and video recording techniques and equipment.

• Excellent storytelling and editorial skills.

• Familiarity with podcast hosting platforms and RSS feeds.

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• A knack for identifying trends and strategies to help podcasts go viral and reach broader audiences.

• Ability to provide design input and ensure podcasts have a cohesive aesthetic.

• Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.

• Knowledge of SEO and digital marketing strategies is a plus.
