Job Description
The Pricing and Advertising Analyst plays a vital role of collecting, analyzing, interpreting and communicating data in order to develop successful product pricing strategies, support advertising initiatives and monitor competitors. The position is responsible for managing pricing decisions to balance competitive position with strong profitability. The position works closely with our advertising consultant to ensure the most effective digital advertising campaigns and provides competitive analysis. This position reports directly to the Ecommerce and Marketing Director but also works closely with the CEO.
Primary Responsibilities
· Develop and execute product pricing strategy that meets or exceeds gross margin goals. Study gross margin, sales data, competitor pricing, customer spending patterns, and industry trends to develop product pricing that reaches profitability and revenue goals. Communicate pricing changes effectively.
· Determine and implement appropriate pricing changes that account for vendor cost adjustments.
· Determine and schedule sales promotions and product discounts. Manage the sales promotions calendar.
· Coordinate product advertising with appropriate staff or contractors. Provide in-depth understandings of vendors and products to support advertising decisions, especially Shopping advertising, that meets attribution and revenue goals.
· Perform competitive monitoring, analysis and positioning. Provide strategy for responding to competitive threats and work with product management staff to implement strategies.
· Manage the company’s vendor matrix metrics to stay abreast of strategic shifts with vendors and make appropriate decisions for advertising, marketing, pricing, product placement and vendor relations.
· Research and evaluate possible selling benefits, such as free shipping, lifetime warranties and so on.
· Track and report on marketing and advertising campaigns and KPIs. Measure ROI of online and offline advertising and attribution campaigns.
· Track and communicate results. Create and present reports that accurately represent metrics, project status, objectives and challenges. Provide correlation analysis.
· Stay current within ecommerce industry and furniture retail industry.
· Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
· Expertise with Google Analytics
· Expertise in Excel
· Strong data analysis skills
· Keen eye for identifying opportunities
· Demonstrated ability to think strategically
· Effective reporting and presentation skills
· Understanding of accounting concepts such as margins, direct costs, and indirect costs.
· Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, statistics, or related field required. MBA preferred.
· Experience in product management and ecommerce platforms preferred.
Compensation & Benefits
Compensation for this position is at least $71,000 per year. This is a fulltime, exempt position.
DutchCrafters’ benefits package includes health, dental, vision, and life insurance that begin on the first of the month after your first day of employment. We also offer a company 401(k) plan, 20 PTO days after 90 days of employment, and a generous employee discount.
Hours
Hours will be Monday – Friday from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. This position is required to be fully onsite for the first six months of employment with considerations being given for a hybrid schedule after the six-month onboarding period. Other flexible scheduling options may also be considered after the onboarding period.
