JOB SUMMARY: As the Pricing and Program Manager for the North America region, the role holder is expected to support and execute the price and program strategy across the United States, Canada, and Environmental Solutions commercial units. This role supports and interfaces with the commercial, marketing, finance and supply chain management functions and is a key contributor to effectively communicate and optimize business performance. In depth knowledge of the channel transactions and relationships between manufacturers, distribution, retail and growers/applicators is critical for success. It is important that this manager have strong communication skills and can manage large data sources.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage the planning and execution of pricing-related programs, including new product launches, price adjustments, and promotional campaigns.
- In collaboration with the product marketing team, analyze market dynamics, cost structures to establish competitive and profitable pricing strategies for the varied product portfolio.
- Lead in the development and tracking of Pricing and Programs KPI’s, key market indicators, analytics and reporting. Assess effectiveness and identify areas for improvement
- Develop, build and maintain analytical models to drive profitability and market share growth in alignment with overall business objectives.
- Lead in the implementation of pricing and programs internal controls and procedures and ensure audit requirements are met, and the audit process is understood by key stakeholders.
- Manage the pricing and rebate entry into the SAP system in coordination with Finance.
- Manage our third party (Beck Ag) rebate system from implementation, enhancements and testing to ensure system is functioning as expected and rebates are properly reflected.
- In collaboration with the legal team, ensure compliance with the local market regulations related to pricing, promotions of UPL’s crop protection products, staying abreast of industry regulations and updates
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, finance, or related fields.
- Advanced degree in marketing or finance, or MBA will be a plus.
- At a minimum, 3 years of experience across functional areas of Marketing, Finance, Pricing Programs management areas will be required.
- Demonstrated ability to build effective cross-functional relationships specifically with commercial, finance and supply chain leadership and teams.
- Experience within the agricultural or crop protection industry in North America or Global roles will be preferred.
- Experience managing pricing & accruals through business management systems and tools such as SAP, SFDC, Qlik and Smartsheet’s.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Table, Lookups) and PowerPoint with ability to train others.
- Be solutions focused and be comfortable working in an environment which demands strong deliverables along with the ability to identify problems and drive appropriate solutions.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
