SHORT DESCRIPTION
The Principal provides thought leadership for Distributor Insights, guiding analysis and insights to support business decisions and encourage a data excellence culture.
HOW YOU WOULD CONTRIBUTE:
- The expert and lead for advanced analysis and insight of Distributor behavior and the Herbalife Marketing Plan.
- Proactively lead Subject Matter Experts and flex pool analysts for projects and tasks.
- Regularly review and optimize processes and suggest improvements for regular analysis on related subjects.
- Provide guidance and enable best practices sharing within the team, and across the department.
- Develop collaborative relationships and influence up, down and across organizational lines.
- Lead various high level projects concurrently.
- Collaborate with customers, partners, and subject matter experts to effectively prioritize and allocate workload to flex pool, based on expertise and availability.
- Communicate insights to leadership, highlighting key points, achievements, areas for improvement and recommended actions.
- Build, develop and implement comprehensive training plans for the area of expertise for the Business Insights Group across the world.
- Perform additional duties as assigned
WHAT’S SPECIAL ABOUT THE TEAM:
- Subject matter expertise in analytics and insights, 7+ years of experience in the functional areas of business analysis, financial analysis, statistical model development, and data mining and/or CRM (Customer Relationship Management) database analysis
- Strong skills, 4+ years with Business Intelligence Tools building data visualizations, reports, dashboards and datasets with tools such as MicroStrategy, Power BI, Tableau, Cognos, OBIEE or Hyperion
- Proven significant experience, 2+ years in managing multiple analytics projects from conception to implementation.
- Expert knowledge of Herbalife Marketing Plan and business model
- Good interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to perform and produce results in multifunctional teams in a dynamic work environment.
- Ability to lead on projects and track performance. Leadership and team management abilities, with the capacity to encourage and empower without direct line management.
- Technical proficiency in knowledge of SQL, Python, pivot tables, macros, editing VBA/SQL, v-lookup, queries, and report writing to analyze data and consolidate reports
- Advanced skills in Data Wrangling, Cleansing and Validation of large datasets.
- Understanding of cloud relational databases such as Snowflake, Amazon Redshift or equivalent.
- Superb communication and partner leadership skills, with the ability to optimally convey sophisticated data concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Strong analytical skills and strength in synthesizing complex issues in a succinct and concise manner.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proven experience in behavioral analytics, preferably in a leadership role.
- Demonstrated efficiency in engaging with individuals from diverse countries and cultures while considering cultural diversity.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to align data initiatives with business goals and objectives
- Continuous learning demeanor and a passion for staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in data management.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to perform and produce results in multifunctional teams in a dynamic work environment.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage projects using resource from centrally run flex pool, providing effective feedback.
- Maintain employee focused culture, lead by example, motivate, mentor and develop subject matter experts and flex pool analysts.
