Bachelor's Degree in Urban Planning, Economics, Finance, Real Estate, Marketing, Communications, Public Administration, Business Administration, Management, or a related field, along with two years of experience as a Senior Project Manager, or equivalent combination of education and experience totaling at least 6 years.

Join the City of Saint Paul's Department of Planning and Economic Development to work on housing and economic development projects, utilizing various funding tools to enhance affordable housing and promote business investments.
About the Position
Join us in building a vibrant, dynamic, and equitable Saint Paul! The Department of Planning and Economic Development (PED) is hiring for three exciting opportunities on the Housing and Economic Development teams, each offering unique responsibilities.
Housing Team:Utilize and leverage a variety of affordable housing finance tools to help produce, preserve and protect the City’s affordable housing. Help shape the City’s housing policy through the performance of expert-level professional work in directing, reviewing, promoting, negotiating, facilitating, and preparing proposals and underwriting loans requiring multiple-sources of funding for complex real estate development proposals requesting City assistance. Must have a solid understanding and experience in utilizing CDBG, HOME, Tax Increment Financing, Revenue Bonds, LIHTC, pass-through development grants and other local and federal funding sources.
Economic Development Team:Manage commercial real estate development projects and support business investments and job growth including property acquisition and assembly, reviewing development proposals, financing, permitting, and construction. We are looking for individuals with strong project management skills and experience with complex development projects. Must have a solid understanding and experience in utilizing CDBG, HOME, Tax Increment Financing, pass-through development grants and other local and federal funding sources.

Position Requirements
A Bachelor's Degree in Urban Planning, Economics, Finance, Real Estate, Marketing, Communications, Public Administration, Business Administration, Management, or a related field, and two years of experience as a Senior Project Manager.
A combination of education and experience to equal 6 years or more can be used to qualify for the position.
